Ok. Yesterday, I was coming to SEN cause I gotten bored of halo 2. Well, I went inside SEN and it kept refreshing. On the dropdown menu it had, <a onmouseov code. It just said that and it didnt say any more. Well after it quit refreshing I was actually inside the forum index. Well no one was on so I thought what in the world happend??? Well I went to talk on aim with someone and he said that it had the Database Error code on. I was so confused and I made a 2 screenshots. Also I am adding a txt with the error.
The server goes down 3-4 times a day.
You can thank IP for being stuborn later when it never changes.
Basically between 5pm - 12pm you can expect constant downtimes, mainly because of the influx of people from America, lucky for me I live in Europe, and so can access it in my mornings.
i know sen gets downtimes, but i actually was in the website when the downtime kept going on..
Just as a little extra clarification - the fact that you saw "<a onmouseov" in the place of the menu text meant that the server went down as you were having the page transfered to you - a rare situation. This is probably a lot more information then is required, but it will show you why the menu appeared so in case you didn't already know.
"<a onmouseov" is the cut-off form of an anchor tag (<a>) with the onMouseOver name and value = for calling JavaScript on a mouse over (used with CSS through DHTML to show the dropdown menu). The fact that this code was "chopped off" means that the next packet of information never came - and your buffer was left half full. This means that it probably sat there for a while doing nothing while still showing a progress bar for loading the page.
Anyway, so in a nutshell, the server went down as you were viewing the page - get used to the server going down. I have a log with every error that I have ever seen on this website - which is growing to almost a megabyte (it gives me an inside knowledge of how the SQL queries work - you should probably remove the debug code from the error page to prevent hackers from gaining information over time like I have).
You can expect the server to go down often - so it shouldn't be a surprise when it does. This is definately nothing new.
