Ever since I found out with EUD triggers that you could make any unit load other units, I had the idea of a map with invincible units being loaded into another unit to be "disposed" off.

This spawned the idea of Extreme Herder, the name and concept loosely based off a Neopets game.

It's a simple map with simple triggers. I suppose it's more of a minigame though.

Objective:

The objective of the game is to "herd" 100 broodlings into the pen. To do so you must load the broodlings into your herder.

Units:

Jimmy Raynor Marine (Herder)
Broodling (Broodling)

Gameplay:

Broodlings are collected by moving your marine close to a yellow broodling. When you touch a broodling it will be given to you, which you can then load into your marine.

Note: You may only command up to 8 broodlings at a time, and enemy broodlings that come close to you may also be given to you. Also broodlings given to you will continue to roam around until commanded to stop or move by you.

To load the broodlings into your herder you must select the broodlings, then right click the marine since there is no "Load" button. Then you travel to the center part of the field to the high dirt.

Upon reaching the high dirt you will travel to the pen where the broodlings will start unloading. Moving to the high dirt located in the corners of the pen will take you back to the field.

After you leave the pen, your points will be calculated based on how many broodlings are in the pen.

Herders may be attacked by other herders, and if your herder dies you will be respawned. All broodlings in the field are invincible, yet upon entering the pen they lose their invincibility, and may be attacked and killed. In the pen your marine will not be able to attack due to the constant unloading.

Oh well...Good Work with the EUD triggers.

Most boring map I've played on battle.net. I quit after about 2 minutes when you hosted that one time.

Thanks MrrLL smile.gif

I think it would be best as a minigame type of game.

It also has like 1 EUD trigger so it's hard at all. tongue.gif

Too bad you can't insert custom graphics with EUD triggers(Or can you blink.gif ) or you could've made the units real animals laugh.gif

Anyway, about Silent-Swift's suggestion of the animals being lurkers... why not just add some custom musics in. cool1.gif

Yes!! Taking Broodlings and put 'em in your pockets!

And they'll get angry because your pocket stinks and bite you and escape and a magician walking past will use his fire spells by accident, cooking the animal and then he'll eat the roasted animal(Who dosen't want free food).

Back on topic: I was wicked, when I was losing, I stood inside the pen and when the enemies unloaded their broodlings, I took control of them and killed all. And slowly, I won tongue.gif

Heh EUD's are no more so this map doesn't work tongue.gif

I suppose I could make it "virtually" load the broodlings and stuff to recreate it, meh.
