Staredit Network -> Terrain -> Cave
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chronophobia on 2005-08-11 at 10:22:18
I'm not asking about anything else than a rating of the cave, how well does it smelt into the other terrain around? Does it look decent enough so I can use it for my coming RPG or do I have to work further on it?

Rate me from 1 - 10 please.

And no, there isn't an in-game picture that I'm going to post for the moment.

Kind regards

its looks good, id say about 7/10, the top of the cliff to the left can be blended a little bit more, but other than that its at best as it can get...

That looks like the best it can get. That is a perfect example of extended terrain I would say.

The nice thing about mountain stuff is that any oddities in the terrain are just disregarded as rocks and fissures.

I don't know what you're talking about. I voted 4/10. How is that not answering what you asked?

The first time i looked at it i thought it was jsut another doodad cave ermm.gif Then i saw that there was a doubled cliff, and i think it's pretty good, just because it looks like its bigger than it should be

6, I can see a few places where it could've been blended slightly better, but overall, it's good. The level seems to shift and change, gives it a nice feel. Still just cliffs, though.

Ya it looks good and is well blended but the cliffs seem to look smaller and less realistic because the cave is the same size as normal but they are 2X higher
6/10

Actually, if you've ever looked at actual rock formations, they aren't just flat, their levels variate and shift, if anything, the change in height makes it look more realistic.

I have no complaints.

mmmm blending nicely done now thats smooth

I give it a 3 of 10. There are many ways you can do this sort of 2 -> 1 stage blend into a cave, including this way, blending better, and taking it off from the cave can be done much smoother... all in all, its good. biggrin.gif

No, it's a double cliff that goes down into a single cliff with a cave....

Which looks kinda scary because there no slopes. 5/10
