Would it be possible for Blizzard to patch the standard SC editor to make it have more features and freedom like the WC3 editor?
Not without patching the game itself to add that functionality as well. I don't think they think it's worth their time.
Hey it would more than make up for the loss of the EUD triggers... if we could actually add and subtract HP that would be worth the download to me
They have alredy made allt he money they wanted off of Starcraft. They will not waste their time Making a new editor for it. No one is going to go buy a really old game just becuase it gets a new editor...
That, and Blizzard doesn't even need to worry about campaign editors, everyone is making them by themselves, it's not like Starforge, SCXE and all those were made by Blizzard.

No. Blizzard will never, I repeat never, spend a drop more energy on SC than it has to. They are the kings of laziness and procrastination. Its a business, maybe if they made another expansion with this in it and sold it to the public, then maybe, but that isn't going to happen because not enough people would buy it to pay their costs.
lol and it might not even be possible to give it total functionality like that. oh, and keep in mind that even eud's didnt have even remotly the capabilities of the wc3 editor. any1 whos ever used the wc3 gui or jass knows this. note that i havent used wc3 jass. im too lazy to learn it.
SO STOP DREAMING! if u want an uber functional editor, go-get wc3 or something! or make the patch and submit it to blizzard yourself!
Your best hope is to wait for Revolutions.

Revolutions?
Starcraft: Revolution, 3d starcraft mod for WC3. it looks awesome
Oh, Project Revolution... yeah, that looks awesome. I thought he was talking about Nintendo's new console, the Revolution. I was like, wtf?
Starcraft is 7 years old. A new editor will be a waste of time, time that would be better spent on something like Starcraft 2. Be patient, as our moment of rejoice is coming
Question is when.
Because lots of people are just itching for SC2 to come out.

I wouldn't be surprised.

Lol, nintendo's revolution might be kinda of fun....
They could always just a add a bunch of new things and make a new Expansion it doesnt need to be just about the editor.
actually i like Starcraft 2D graphic, and i unlike wc3 3D graphic, does some1 else like the 2d graphic or is just me?
Its just you, and its dislike not unlike...

i consider starcraft more 2.5d , 2d background 3d units (well somewhat 3d, you can see them from all angles anyway)

No actually i prefer sprites as well.
Having repeated problems with video cards does that to ya...
I just prefer sprites because they allow for more units on the screen at once, don't stress your video card, and generally give a better look overall than 3d graphics.
Of course, some may argue that 3d is possible without being video card stressing, seeing as Wc3 doesn't (I think) actually require the user's computer to render the units, they're all prerendered (really not sure here, but I'd heard that, and I know blizzard often does do prerendered units in games). The problem being with prerendered units is that they're eyesores, I much prefer good looking sprites to weird cartoony prerendered units.
Starcraft 2 = disappointment of the decade
Project Revolution = lame
Blizzard = got lucky with Starcraft
