ok, i work at a call center where people call in and i fix there computers. i have seen that no only are the old WAY behind in the tecnological revilution that is life, but some people that are within my agfe group......WTF is that? and i have also seen that most of the calls are from the south. why are they so behind? its not like we dont put the souther children in schools where there is computers.....i mean come on......why cant we all just be on the same page?

Southern people tend to be more uneducated, or more undereducated then most other states.

First, you need to realize that this is a forum, and that we aren't racing to post. You say you work? That means you're edumacated, show it to us by having consistant sentence structure and good grammar.


Anyhoo, the reason the south is so behind is because they tend to be less educated. There are more hicks there and so it's more "acceptable" to be a hick.

Look at the 50's and up. The North had successful black people, while the south had them segregated beyond belief.

lol, that it to true, i am to lazy and its not against the rules to not use propper grammer. but thats off subject. why are they so far behind, its not like we refuse to give them tecnology, or even to give them ADVANCED tecnology. do they just throw it away, or do they melt it down to make beads and :poo: for all of there celibrations.........

Also, it's annoying when there's topics that I don't participate in that keep being on the top.
I don't complain about it, since I don't have any right to, but when they themselves are flawed and the reason I don't participate in them is because I have no clue what's going on because someone is too lazy to spend another half second of their life making a coherent post, then I feel it is justification for complaint.

No, I believe he was poking fun at you. Really, I type correctly and I most likely still type faster than you. Please take the time to capitalize and punctuate, or I am going to start reporting you.

I don't think that calling southerners hicks is a good way to start off, though I'm probably guilty of it myself. Those states are generally less populous, and a greater focus is placed on simply surviving. Many of the children take off school to go farm and harvest. Technology is simply a thing that many of them do not desire. Proportionally I'm sure that they have a vastly superior number of bums and rednecks, but don't forget that we have our fair share in the comparatively educated Northeast.

Since they do feed a great portion of the world with wheat, produce, and meat, there is a larger strain for manual labor. Time alone factors against them as they have to work, and have little time for pleasures. Any real jobs to generate a larger amount of income are found elsewhere. They lack resources (maybe oil, but that will soon not be a factor), and really the only thing for many of them to do is farm.

The cities have a nice amount of jobs, but many people dislike city life. Therefore, the non-farmers don't have much to do in the way of work, and consequentially little to make in the way of money.
