There's a bit of a controversy between scientists..
How would you die in space?
A) from all the air in your body, after you blood boils.
B) No air.
C) Being crushed.
If you disagree/want to add another way to die, or modify one, feel free to say so.
Think about it, you would be surrounded by nothing, which means there would be no pressurized resistence to stop anything from leaving your body. (I don't care what you say your muscles are not that strong) This means, that you would suddenly turn inside out, as every internal essence of you was spewed out into the cosmos. But before this you would be burnt on one side and freezing on the other. Ouch.
so what would kill you first?
Smoking.
Or being turned inside out.
I'd think you would practicly blow up. Space may be cold but it gonna freeze your body, infact the sun would probably burn you to a crisp without the protection of the atmosphere.
yeh im not asking for how you would die. i want to know what would kill you first.
You'd die from suffocation. And you'd probably get very badly burned from there being no atmosphere to protect you. Then you'd just keep getting cooked as you float around space. And wouldn't it be cool if somebody died out in space, then they started falling down out of orbit and burned up in the atmosphere? And am I the only one that thinks we should really find out what happens? Like maybe we can send a monkey up in a rocket like we use to. But then we'll open the hatch and let the monkey float around and video tape it. It'd be sweet.
Cruel but effective.
I think that the vacuum and therefore the total lack of pressure would splat you within seconds.

Spaceshuttle Columbus feel threw the atmosphere, would you like to suffer their fate?
like rtents first idea, but you wouldnt turn inside out you would pop, I SWEAR
And you would not suffocate first- lack of pressure or protection against heat will kill you long before you suffocate. Suffocation takes several minutes...
Would the vacuum be able to suck stuff out of your pores?
Even so, the extreme coldness would kill you first I believe.
well it takes about half a minuter for you to go unconcious, and from there another 8 minutes for total brain death.
but ure right..
i think a more effective way would be to preserve dead bodies (just after they die) and see what happens.. but it probably wouldnt have the exact same effect as a normal living human.
It'd be good enough, in my opinion.
Also, I forgot to ask; what's this doing in SD...?
are you saying that you dont take death seriosly ezday? are you sick man? (am just kidding you)
The most likely thing to kill you would be a collision with some sort of space junk there is so much out there that could very well kill you first
the real reason, is because in space there is no gravity, which means there is no calcium, cuz gravity pushes down on you on earth, which creates calcium build up, and you need calcium to stay strong, and evn if you do exercise in space it is still not enough calcium to keep you alive, that is why ppl cannot stay in space for too much time....not enough calcium=being crushed.......there u go..
He means if you had no space suit. (but no gravity would kill you if you were in space for a long time and went back to earth)
You would probably die of cold or heat first. But the blowing up might kill you first. Ima say its a tie

Also, some people can hold their breath (while conscience) for up to 5 minutes. You can train yourself to do this. You could probably train yourself to do it for even longer... maybe even 10 or 15 minutes!

I think u would get crushed, implode and run out of air at the same time so u get triple the pain and death

OO a hyper death if u will
Or theres always a second resort, where u just explode and die if possible
Head pops due to the lack of pressure.

Good question. It doesn't really matter how you die in space because everybody knows that if you die in space you're...
dead. What else do you need to know?
haha true, this isnt like an everyday problem, and thats the only stuff that should be goin in the serious discussion thread, oh well....
