Yeah, I tried to make a melee map. I personally like it but im sure theres something wrong with it. Please tell me how to FIX IT then just telling me where it is bad. Thanks.

Post screenshot of your map. Most of us dont like having to download the map ourselves and opening it in our map editors juts to see the pic

Needs more minerals at the start location. Check out other maps for amount or go for your own style based on the map.

There's something odd about the map, the first thought that came to me when I looked at it was "too flat".

Using this program is a must when posting melee maps.

When you use that, it make very small images. The size of the minimap. I dont think thats the right program.

The correct program is Scm/Scx to Jpg Converter v1.7.

Flatness shouldn't be that much of a problem but it feels weird your expo is so far away sad.gif

You could maybe decorate up the "island" space a little more...no complaints other than that.

Not bad for first map. This map is missing a natural. Make a hole in the wall behind the main and use that.
Put double bridges in mid connecting the main islands.
There should usually be 8-9 mineral patches in the main depending where the nat is.

This map could be like a dahlia for 2 if you take my suggestions.

The expansions at top left and bottom right with the thin walls, make the whole thing high ground with a ramp.

As the map is its quite unbalanced, Zerg is going to have a VERY hard time. There arent enough gas expos reachable by ground, there arent enough expansions near the mains, and the gas only expansions at 5 and 11 are terribly done.

This map NEEDS decoration as well.

I noticed that the top is more rigged for terran, as they have several choke points the bottom would need to bypass. Bottom does not have any efficient chokes.

Maybe put 3 ramps in middle Bifrost style? Hard to move army across one ramp, unless that was your intention. Not bad for first time, though. You should see my first map. tongue.gif
