i am a muslim and i want to see what the ignorent people think about our religion.. feel free to ask any questions...

I think of a quiet person. A person who is constantly looked down upon, and made fun of.


But to me, I just picture a little person with a little gem between their eyes. Other than that, I am not racist! Enlighten me if you will.

You (Islam) started out as a little "mystic" religion just like Judaism and Christianity. There is nothing special about that characteristic. Your people were considered barbarians for centuries (and many people still do think that), you managed to conquer pretty much the entire eastern Roman Empire, north Africa (though much of Africa is Islamic), Spain, and India. Of the five crusades, I think one accomplished what it was meant to do (the others were poorly executed, most of which never even reach their target), and even that reclaimed Jerusalem for no extended period of time. If one thinks quite simply about where they're concentrated most (Africa and the Middle East), one can see that those areas simply don't have much in the way of valuable resources, and they generally lack water and consequently vegetation. Therefore those countries are at a huge disadvantage to richer nations. Their people have to be grimmer to get through life, and we, as humans, generalize.

What do you want us to describe about a muslim? Muslims can be male or female, whatever ethinicity from whatever place. They're members of the religion of Islam.
Assuming ignorance of people is a stupid thing to do.

A person who practices Islam. A muslim can be like anyone too. Unless you want me to describe a stereotype

Muslims are a peacefull bunch of folks who follow the teachings if Islam, and their god is Allah.

I do not discriminate against religions (Except Mormons [No, not LDS... MORMONS! I will be glad to tell you the difference if you want me to])

A person of descent using originating from the middle East area that includes, but is not limited to afganistan, pakistan, Iraq, and... crud, I think it's Syria, I can't remember right now. Ahem, most often practices the beliefs of Islam.

You ever hear of a continent called ASIA? A country called INDONESIA, the country with the LARGEST CONCENTRATED MUSLIM POPULATION IN THE WORLD?

It's not limited to the Middle-East. I myself am an indonesian muslim.

It's not as if we were forgetting it. Sure, there are Muslims in Indonesia and elsewhere, but you don't see much of the violence that goes on there (well smaller terrorist activity at least). Hoo-rah!

Those are Extremists and make up a very small percentage of all muslims, their views are warped and are actually against the Quran. Stop being pulled in by your stupid american stereotypes.

Imperial is right in a way. Most Muslims, mostly from the middle east (more specifically, Iraq) don't like americans. Thats not really a stereotype, thats pretty much fact. We can all see why, too.

Also, I have nothing against Muslims. They are like every other persons, just with different views and beliefs (just like every other person).

But, the fact you posted a topic asking people how they think of muslims is stupid. Why do you care what other people think? Why must you feel the need to prove people wrong? It is stereotypical on your part to generalize every non-Muslim into stereotyping Muslims. This topic is sort of an oxymoron.
Also, how you said "I want to see how ignorant you are" is pretty appalling and generalistic (I made up that word "generalistic" ). How do you know all of us are racists and stereotype Muslims?
