Normally when you want to disable units, You go to triggers to the action called (set doodad state) I've tried disabling it like that but when i played the game you weren't able to click on the beacon. But i know its possible to disable it and click on it. Because it was done in bubble bound. Does anyone know how?
First you would set an observer by the beacon you want disabled and set a location around the beacon called "Disable Beacon" then set a trigger for the owner of the beacon and have it say this:
Player - Owner of the beacon
Action - Always
Condition - Disable doodad state for Beacon owned by current player at location "Disable Beacon"
then another trigger for the human player set to this:
Human Players
Action - Always
Execute AI Script 'Turn ON Shared Vision' (For the owner of the beacon and observer)
Wait 1000 Milliseconds
Remove all Observers for Computer Player (Observers by the beacon)
Wait 1000 Milliseconds
Execute AI Script 'Turn OFF Shared Vision' (For the owner of the beacon and obser)
i just use scanner sweep rather than observer, much easier
(hehe bouble bound...)
yeah, yeah,

We all have different ways there Vic, but yours sounds better!

I dont understand... You said you cant click on it so its disabled... If you want a cloacked beacon... Different thing... Thats what you are asking for... do what they said
I belive weathor or not you can click on the beacon is related to the owner of the beacon. If you simply disable it for a computer then you won't be able to click it.
Maybe its an alliance thing i'm not sure.
Im pretty sure its just if its disabled its unclickable.
Also, remember: One location per beacon! You cant place one location over 10 beacons and try to disable them all because only 1 will disable. You'd have to put 10 locations over each beacon to disable them all.
You could disable the beacon, then give it to another player, so the trigger can be preserved to disable all of them properly.
There's no way I'd waste locations to cloak more beacons.
