Ugh... Spartan, you keep trying don't 'ya little guy.
My suggestion is this, try and make a map that is created by you. I don't mean your own version of other games. Because, in my opinion, that just shows you aren't original enough to come up with your own ideas. So, you combine a bunch of games into one. If yo would like some help(ugh... Why am I being nice) I guess I can try and help you out with some sort of a story-line and character's. All I need from you is, give me some basic ideas for a storyline. That way I can work off of that to give you some what of a good story-line!
..... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT YES!!!! lol ok ill come up with a rough idea for the story line later today.. as in in like 15 mins.... LOL thx alot man!

Well, I just read your story. Mine isn't anything special. I would have spent more time on it, but, as of now, I do not have enough time to polish it up. I have to go to work soon, and then do a lot of homework. Here is my unfinished version:
In a land far, far away, there was once a small island. The island was believed to be the home of the Keepers of Light. The Keepers of Light were some of the most powerful beings in all the land. The 3 keepers were in control of defending the island from evil. For thousands of years, no evil was able to penetrate the Keepers defense. Until last night. 2 of the keepers had been assassinated in the night. Not one single person had any idea at how someone was able to evade the defenses without alerting the Sentries. But, there was only 1 Keeper left. If the last Keeper were to fall, the island would be vulnerable to even the smallest scale of attacks. All of the people believed the assassinations of the Keepers was done by one single person. Stratus. Stratus was the most powerful wizard the world has ever seen. Even the 3 Keepers had a hard time at keeping Stratus and his minions at bay. There is only specualtion too why Stratus is so evil. But, the story goes like this:
"Long ago, there were 4 children. All of which were best friends who enjoyed exploring deep within the forsests. Until, one day the 4 of them had wandered to far into the Enchanted Mines and discovered Odin's Amulet. The children ran back to their town to reveal their discovery, but, before they were able to make out of the mine. Stratus had fallen to the ground. The 3 others thought he was just playing a practical joke, so, they continued as if nothing happened. Then, all of a sudden, showers of light began coming out of the walls, all encricling Stratus. His body slowlt began levitating above the ground and a loud shreik came from within his body. Something had possessed him. People had always said that Odin was an evil Lord, who possessed the Mines, so that if the unworthy came a long to tamper with his old fortress, he would possess them and take on their body to destroy the world. Stratus, had taken Odin's spirit, and was now, a walking God."
As for your tips on creating RPG's.
• Never over-do it. It has taken me for ever to realise that. If you put to much on your plate, you'll be discouraged and eventually hate making maps.
• Be original. I can't stress that enough.
• Take your time. Take as much time as you want. The map isn't supposed to be for everyone else. It is more-or-less for you. The RPG I am making reflects a part of my life. The only reason I publicliy announced it was to get other people's opinon's and criticism.
• Have fun! If you begin feeling like your map isn't very much fun to make, take a break. Then come back, and you'll feel nice and refereshed. It's a good thing on taking breaks!
