Starforge works fine for me but whenever I try to open my clan's lost temple map it crashes. Which really sucks because I was going to change the player colors and I don't like changing colors with scmdraft. It crashes you in-game. Does anyone know what colors you can and can't use on jungle tileset?

I've read http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=77

and

http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=166

they don't say what colors crash on what tilesets. I remember old repalys of Clan GM temple where there was a light teal color and some other wierd colors on jungle tileset.

You should use regular colours(0-11) in your maps. Most other colours lower the quality of your map and draw people away in disgust. Extended colours become a problem, usually with alliance and determining which player is which. Minimap colours are usually different from the in-game colours with extended colours.

I suggest you stick with regular colours- more people will enjoy your map that way.

I think the map would be more appealing with special player colors. You see its just a clan version of wgt 10 2.4 temple (jungle). I wrote [Mech] in the fog made observer micro battles and added some text animation + sounds. Now i want to put the icing on the cake with that neutral color blue, tan , pink ,salmon , pale yellow, green, or that dark tealish color. As long as they dont look all funky, flash 2 colors, crash, and aren't hard to see on the minimap I want them.

ok, on jungle tileset, for the sake of melee purposes, use colours 0-10 and 17. 11 is neutral blue which screws players over on the minimap (cuz of critters). 17 on jungle is black both on-screen and on-minimap, so its ok.

btw, it shouldnt crash the editor. eh.
