Well, lets say I have units for rescuable players in my map. How would they work in multiplayer? Will they join any human player who will touch them?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Vindexus on 2005-09-06 at 13:28:22
I believe it is the first human player to "rescue" them that gets the unit. The color of the unit will stay the same as that of the rescuable player.

Thats why I need them. So 1 player can have units in different colours. But you are not sure? I need to be 100% sure because this will have a big role in my map.

Thanks a lot. BTW I will use this in my map GTA: classic. So you can overpaint your car and get lose from the copers tongue.gif .

And can I use p9-11 for the for this? So I don't have to spent normal players for car colours.

Hmm.. I know you can preplace p12 in maps, but not sure if you can make p12 a rescueable player.

But I really think your idea won't work, sounds awesom because I have Vice City, but at most you could really have would be 3 players, you would need 2 computers, [one neutral and one enemy for cops or something], but you can't make them rescueable because you could rescue everything, so 3 players, 2 computers and 3 rescueable players.. maybe, for eg, you would use this if you wanted just Orange Red and Yellow. [I would use extended player colors smile.gif]

BUT, if you can make p12-p9 rescueable, which I think you can't, that would be great!

Btw DEAD, does my avatar turn you on? I know it does.

I am sure that p12 can only be neutral. and I will need at least 2 comps for gangs. Can someone please test can p9-11 be rescuable while there are p1-8 in game. And can they be created with triggers.

yeah lol...i hate when ppl do this ask questions about things they can make in a diferent map just for testing...i mean GO MAKE A MAP AND TEST
and if it doesn't works you can preplace the units in a spot where no one will see them and you can move them when you want the car to get paint

When you change unit owner then it changes color. If you quickly remove car>create rescuable car and air unit->remove air unit, car changes colour. What would preplace give?

1. i think i am not sure that when u give units from p9,10,11,12 they don't change color...
2. i did never say "remove" i just said move the "rescuable" unit to the location and give it to the player you want
3. i got another idea to make the dust thing when they come out you can use hallucination dead

ADDITION:
OFF TOPIC: if you have a mouse with a scroller have you notice how when you scroll down the mrll's signature slows down your screen just like when you try to move your screen and there are so many sprites on starforge ;d

Because you are making typos.
Corbo at bla bla
was one, the other you put
, I think the space makes it invalid

QUOTE(p9-11 sucks)
Yes, they do, see below

See it works fine.

I just made few tests for p9-12. P12 is always neutral. P9-11 are always strange. You can set their race and owner to any and they always be the same.

*Standing still and not attacking
*Set as enemy
*any p9-11 unit will follow the first unit who shots at him. Weird as I said.

So they are useless.
