Story

    Deep within the thick jungle, sits a mound of leaves and branches.  A light is shining brightly and the leaves begin to tremble and fall from you.  Partly unconscious you find the strength to sit up and look around.  Sore from bruises and cuts you look upward and see through the whole from which you fell.

    Remembering had never been your strong point, but to not recall a single thing from your past, you become confused.  You venture through the forest and your eye catches the sight of civilization.  The first thing that you can think of is to sprint.  A short distance later you find yourself in an inhabited part of the woods, you look around and people who saw you began walking backwards in fear.

    Frightened, yourself, you look for the one who could be the leader of the small village.  You scan everywhere and can’t catch a glimpse of anyone standing out, everything seemed so orderly.  Hoping you can find help; you talk to the various townsfolk, but only receive responses of fear.  What is wrong with this place? You began to think.  Something terrible must’ve happened...

The Save Engine

    With a 20 base code and 16 digits, I can have 6.5536•10^20 different possibilities, but I don’t have that kind of time so I separated the code to different segments.

    The Code will be able to save the following items:
        • Exact Experience
        • Exact Gold
        • Position on World
        • Carried Items
        • Difficulty Setting
        • Progress in Story

Battle System

    It is Turned Based which means when you first encounter an enemy, you will have to select the option you would like to do.  Your turn is first, then it is the enemy's turn.  It will toggle back and forth each time until you run away or one claims victory. You can see the main screen in the screen shot, but here is the list of spells and items:

    Holy Magic:
        • Flee - 100% Escape
        • Heal - Restores 6 HP
        • Regen - Gain 1 HP a Turn
        • Heal+ - Restores 16 HP

    Attack Magic:
        • Ice Bomb - Send Ice Bomb on Enemy
        • Shockwave - Shock Enemy with Electricity
        • Hazard - Poison Attack (Useful for Bosses)
        • Summon - Spawn a Monster for Help
        • Lightning - Electricute with many Bolts
        • Firestorm - Send Enemy into Oblivion

    Passive Magic:
        • Critical Up - Increase Odds of Extra Damage
        • Critical Up+ - Greatly Increase Odds of Extra Damage
        • Accumulate - Restore 3 MP
        • Gun Attack - Attack with Gun

    Items:
        • Potion - Restores 5 HP
        • Ether - Restores 4 MP
        • Elixir - Max HP/MP

With the demo, I hope to get about 5 spells and the items done.  So far, I have done Attack and Run away.  If I work hard enough, I may be able to get this done fairly soon and I could maybe release the demo. (Check Demo Section)

For every hit (taking away 1 Enemy HP), there is a 10% chance for a critical (without the spells added), which will automatically hit the enemy again, subtracting 1 HP from the Enemy.  *Tip* Spells also work with the Critical Strike. You find a good combo with this yourself.

Terrain

    It's the basic isometric terrain, but I might add in sprites later in the production.  Nothing really fancy. There will be some extended, but not really all that much.

Looks good.

I liked the story-line. I thought it was good becuase of the sensory details. Made me feel as if I was the one in the character's shoes. This looks promising. I am looking forward to this.

Yah this sounded awsome... One idea tho make ur selecting be with the archon to because when i have to build units to do stuff its so confusing... and stupid!! just an idea take it or not but.. This does sound good Good luck with us. and as Forsaken says keep us updated!!

The gateway tells you what units do what, so like a Zealot is number 1 and if you want to do the number 1 command you train zealot, its much easier, just have to memorize the units hotkeys to do it quicker.

and when you become familiar with them, you can memorize a spell you want and you can easily access it by just training the units in the order, so it is much faster using the gateway

So.... no? Lol, jk. But it looks pretty cool, the save system seems like a lot of work, I've never actually heard of someone finishing a save system.

Also, Dropship system > Building system. You can have longer names.

save wont be really that difficult. prolly the hardest part is converting the charcter to the code. converting the code to the character is rather easy. i just have find out what does what and then put it in.

Yeah, map sounds good and I wanna know more about the story, but I like RPGs where there is a definite name, and I follow a path, not create one for myself

Update

Check Battle System for some info on that and check the Demo section for what will be in the 1st demo.

NOTE: No Story will be added in any of the demos. I do not wish to show any of the ingame story until the final version. And I also want to finish the engine before adding the story in.

For your saving system, make sure ur making the save ability more diverse than Xuru, it is quite easy to cheat with it... like having max money with any char... or same lvl u lvled with... or any char you want...

EDIT: I dont know if you remember me, but i played xuru with you once, and you called me a hacker cuz i had lvl 50 code tongue.gif

heh, yeah it is going to more diverse, its only one code which means everything is compacted to it and ill make restrictions so you wont be able to guess.
