Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Players above 8 and 12

I am making a map and I need more players.

I have tested p9-11. I changed their owner and race but they always were the same:

*they are always set as enemy
*any p9-11 unit will follow first unit who shoots at them(weird)
*they can sometimes shoot at you before following.

p12 is always neutral.

So I need 2-3 players that can be comp and can be set as enemy/ally by triggers(On SCXE probably using trigger packs)

Please suggest something.

Take out the car paint feature and replace the rescuable players with computer players. That was you that had that feature in a map, right?

Yea but that would be so cool to overpaint cars.

There really is no use for p9-11 and p13+? Except EUD.

they are there because of the math formula of sc programing. they needed to fill the numarical players so that player 12 could be possible. they choose 12 cause it's between 2 prime numbers (11, 13) and low enough. but as for the others, 13 + those exist cause of the number base. blizzard makes it go to 255 on everything they do. thus, they had to max out numarical numbers or else the game would be illogical and the triggers wouldn't work. it's a confuseing concept to understand. but it all has to do with the number system biggrin.gif

P13 and P14 are used for the map speed effects (I don't think that was patched, though for all I know it was).

Ok then players above 12 aren't real players. But can p9-12 be human players?

idk why it's like that. with 13 and 14 and game speeds. it has to do with a complex number system. it's proly dealing with imaginary numbers, but im totaly clueless on why it changes speed. im just throwing things out there. i belive it might have to so with the speed that the unit disipeirs. casue all the other players would crash cept 13 and 14, cause u cant see them in game.

Let me quote again:

Some of the following information are disputed.

Players 9-11 are used in the casting animations of some spells. Player 12 is used for owning units of players that left.

PLAYERS 9-11 UNITS PREPLACED are NEUTRAL HOSTILE. They will attack anything, even neighboring units of the same player (this is based on my findings but is disputed)

PLAYERS 9-11 UNITS GIVEN RETAIN ORIGINAL ALLIANCES. If you give a Player 1 unit to Players 9-11 it will have the same alliances status as Player 1

PLAYER 12 UNITS are NEUTRAL NEUTRAL. No matter what you do, they won't attack.

I think now we figured out spells are not used by p9-11

And I might add the P9-12 are always owned by the same thing. They cannot become Human slots.

DT you forget about that p9-11 unit will follow first unit who will attack it.

What's so strange about that? That's the default AI for any military unit not under a global AI isn't it?

Um.. You if I attack computer unit it will star to follow me? NO it will attack me. If I attack neutral player it will stay there. What is not strange?

It is pretty strange, but x2 and x4 speeds arent patched, and players 13+ aren't players at all, and WHY IS THERE 2 TOPICS ON THIS? srry, i jst .. i dont know...

P9 units attack me though... Like I said, some of this information is disupted.

That was from an old quote. I think we proved it wasn't true.

Player 12 is neutral, so when u attack a neutral unit its like attacking a mineral thing, it's not going anywhere, and i think the only thing p14 is used for is x2 and x4 speed.

Players 13 and above are not Mac friendly. This might be it. I think they have some really strange alliances, listed in a huge table in the extended players tutorial.

No, but it can be disproven. If you make a trigger to remove or kill all P12 units, you cannot do ANY spells. Your spells disappear as soon as they appear. P12 commands the spells.
