Okay guys, I've let you had fun in the channel in the past. Now its just too much. Certain people are taking advantage of the fact that we are allowing people to do what they please - but now they are starting to ruin the fun of others with their selfish actions as they take over the channel with useless crap that no one cares about.
Here are a list of rules which I'll throw somewhere later:
- Do not excessively flood with useless or moronic text that no one needs to see.
- Do not flame other people.
- Do not excessively swear (fine, you can do it as an expression of frustration when you lose a game when you get out and return to the channel.)
- If you have a bot, never have greet messages or idle messages enabled.
- If you choose to have your bot in the channel, we may choose to idle kick them during map nights or times of high levels of traffic in the channel. There were a few times tonight that I saw the channel was almost full. If in the case that idle kick needs to go on, bots that have autojoin channels after getting kicked, will instead be banned.
- Keep discussion to PG13.
I am extremely disappointed with the conduct of many people doing repetitive and annoying things which only proved for them to be immature and morons. Seriously, grow up. Map night is for fun maps and chats. Let's keep it that way.
We got the ability to blamlist, ban, and timeban whenever necessary. Don't think you can't have your account suspended/banned here as well. I see people act nice in the forums, yet so different on battle.net. There is no reason for this.
This site isn't about 100% professionalism, we too like to have a bit of fun. But if you want to mess around and annoy & flame people, you make your own channel for map night, and stay in there.
We have logs, and for now on we're checking them. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sorry to hear that people can't even act civilized ONLINE!
1st post w00t!
Let me guess, this has something to do with the long conversations about sex that generally occur at odd hours in the Sen channel?
Addition: Anyone else noticed how many news posts were having at sen lately?
I will respect these rules, As all the other ones. It's good to have so rules for the SeN channel.
Thanks.
Thank God I never go to Op SEN.
Hopefully this means that its relativly safe to go in the channel when someone might be reading over my shoulder now. *Coughwilhelm'swildorgiescough*

If by long you mean short and frustrated and by sex you mean homosexual bum riding then... Ban wilhelm.
Yay... no more of those idiots going "LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL" in op SEN...
Well, it's possible that they just acted that way because they didn't have common sense and thus thought what they did was just funny.
Now they know otherwise.
youuu guyss susjckl suck =-=pko
Good decision. Op SeN was the only channel that I know of where the moment you go into it there are endless lines of spam or cussing or discussion of stuff that I don't need to see.

How will you tell the difference between an idle bot that belongs to someone map making or just an idle bot?
THANKYOU! op sen has been full of retards being so loud and annoying i cant stand to stay thier. im glad its changing.
Actually the conversations going on in op sen have made several of my more....prudish... friends unwilling to go back, which kind of sucked. So, overall, GOOD MOVE YOSHI!

Both would be regarded as the same because, when the channel gets full, it'd be better to make slots for human players--regardless of whether or not a bot is used for legitimate purposes or spamming.
I know that we've always banned spammers and that kind of thing but there aren't always people there with the power to ban to actually ban people while they are committing their offense.
Edit: You do know that if you want to idlekick, you will need a plugin/custom script. Idleban is the only built-in function.
"-- .ib kick <on/off> : Determines whether or not the idle user will be KICKED or BANNED."
Timeban, that, however, needs coding.
thank god, im always on my bot and see this crap goin on but i cant do anything about it unless i use DK's bot but i think thatd get me in trouble
Can we please take this a step further and ban all topics in the forums about those stupid ghey screenshots from op sen? That would make my day.
yoshi is changin that too, let me find the post
nvm that was the original post about changing the channel

If its in null, its okay. if its in another channel that allows this, its okay. If they're doing it in op sen, then they're gone.
Good moves. Now copy this into the FAQs.
Oh yeah, if you got access or a bot, feel free to go through your logs and timeban people for x days, as soon as cheese gets it up.
Meh..soon as you left lil-shorty comes on Yoshi_da_Diaper...
I was going to ban but he left, then I realized I didn't have access
