I need a better way of doing things. Because frankly, I am just screwing things up.

I am using all 8 players in my RPG. (Seven Computer and 1 Human).

I know it sounds a bit...excessive, but I have purposes for all of the players. But, I am just trying to think of a better way to do this. I'll break down the player's and the purposes of each player. And maybe one of you guys can tell me what to change, get rid of, or add....

Player 1:
- Always Share's Vision.
- In control of Map Revealer's around the Console/Spell/Item menu's on the side of the map. I always need them there.

Player 2:
- Human Player
- No vision
- Share's Vision with Player 2

Player 3:
- In control of an NPC that does not share vision.

Player 4:
- In control of towns
- Used for Vision when inside the town.
- In control of neutral NPC's that have no significance.
- In control of Vision inside Shops

Player 5:
- Share's no vision.
- In control of "important" NPC's

Player 6:
- Hostile Beasts(Enemy Units)
- In control of one of the Turn Based Switches...

Player 7:
- In control of the "Real-Time" Battle's

Player 8:
- Boss Units
- Spells of Enemy Unit's in Turn Based Battles.

I am sure I can get rid of having so many computer units. I was wondering if someone who is good at...simplifying these kinds of things, I would be very apprecitaive!

Just get rid of all the shared vision stuff? Why do you have all these weird visions and stuff?

Perhaps it would be better if you gave us a map to see, it's a bit unclear what you're trying to achieve here.

Well, I won't add a map.

But, I'll explain the systems I am doing.

AS for the vision:

P1 will always share vision.

You are in control of P2 (One Hero)

P3 Is the other Hero(One hero, computer based)

P4 Is in control of town's and NPC's when you are not in them.

P5 is supposed to stick out. Mainly for quest items. Compared to the other player color's, P%'s sticks out very much.

P6 Is in control of the Non-Turnbased fighters.

P7 Is in control of the Torch System (Mainly Vision)
P7 is Nuetral. But, I have to have it for the Torch System

P8 is the main enemy computer.

In actuallity, you only see 5 Computers.

P4, P5, and P7 are all nuetral...

Is that a bad thing if I am using all of these computer's?

Yes, there is probably a much more efficient way to do this.

Well, your way is...meh... BAD.

This is my breakdown:

Player One:
Setting: Nuetral
• Allied to all.
• In charge of all main vision.
---I.E. "Your torch System"
• As well as anything else that requires vision.

Player Two:
Setting: Human
Any unit's that need to be controlled by a human.

Player Three:
Setting: Good Computer
• In control of Heroe's that are not controlled by a human.
• Do not share vision.

Player Four:
Setting: Nuetral
• In control of towns without hero in it.
• In control of Town's NPC's
• In control of Nuetral Fighter's in your Turn Based System
• In control of Nuetral Fighter's in your Real Time Strategy

Player Five:
Setting: Nuetral
• I think this one is ok. I'd leave it how it is

Player Six:
You do not need this player

Player Seven:
Setting: Bad Computer
• I'd have this in control of enemy unit's that are not invilved in Turn Based or Real Time. Use this for the random animal battle's

Player Eight:
Setting: Bad Computer
• Use this as the alternate "Bad" computer. The one you actuallyt fight.

Now, let's recap.

Total Nuetral Computer's:
3

Total Good Computer:
1

Total Bad Computer's:
2

So, you will only see 3 Computer's in the actual waiting are before the game start's.

If you would like to change thing's, go ahead. I just made an outline of what I would've done.

ADDITION:
Does anyone else think that I took this in the right direction? I may have not done enough... I would like a second oppinion! bleh.gif
