Who do you guys think the best actor ever is? I really think Edward Norton is. In every movie he has been it, he has played the role superbly(sP). What I really like about him, is how he can play such a wide range of characters. From a skin-head, white supremce in History X, to playing a good guy cop in Red Dragon, to a hustling gambler in Rounders.
Another actor who I think is extremely good and underviewed is Giovanni Ribisi. I never really noticed this until I saw the movie Flight of The Pheonix. I couldnt believe how he could go from playin a built up car jacker in Gone In 60 Seconds, to a pansy airplane designer.
Overall I think these 2 actors are very talented, and underrated(especially Ribisi). Who do you guys think are the best actors of this time?
I am a serious sucker for comedy movies.
So I like:
Chris Farley (with David Spade is better)
Will Ferrell
Umm... I can't think of any others.
Sean Conery.
...Oh, you wanted the best actors, not the coolest, right?
Uhh... I can't think of too many actors that I actually repsect, so I wont have my choice in this post.
Oh yeah! I also like Jim Carrey! He is a great actor because he does body expressions to fit his role so perfectly.
Bud Spencer and Roger Moore
Jim Carrey and Robert Dinero I really like how these 2 act
Johnny Depp. He literally gets into his characters.
Umm... Dave Chapelle is damn good, too.
Russel Crowe...
Tom Cruise...
Dustin Hoffmin is another damn good actor..
Jack Nicholson...
Mel Gibson...
Elijah Wood (Frodo)
Sean Austin (Samwise)
Jackie Chan (Don't you even dare say he isn't!
)
And others that have slipped my mind

Aw blam! I forgot these two >.<
I look for an actor that can become their character. Every actor I stated above, can.
Forgot to mention Clint Eastwood...
I like actors who can act in different genres all equally well, (like tom hanks, will smith, etc). Being able to do both comedy and serious drama extremely well is a skill not many people have.
Jim Carey most definately.
Keeanu Reeves can't act, before anyone utters his name.
I agree with that. Watch Jim Carey in one of the many silly comedies he's done, then watch him in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Eye. Though that movie was somewhat serious, he was still very good in it (therefore making him a fairly diverse actor). As far as talent goes, Jim can act just about anything (except, obviously a martial arts he isn't learned in).
Not to say I havn't been entertained by other actors more, I just think Jim Carrey can do more in his career as an actor.
I love Jim Carrey. The best move I thought he ever made was The Mask. It was funny as hell.
To bad he doesn't make movies like that anymore.
Jimmy Carry loved his career so much that he decided to get a US Citizenship (he was from canada).
you should add the worst actors list like leonardo dicaprio and tom cruise
tom cruise is good IMO. Leonardo is ok, but not great like other people.

Actors.... Not Actresses......
Hm, as said before, I really like actors that can play different roles in different genres, instead of some actors ALWAYS doing comedy.
Yeah like Ashton Cutcher he plays in alot of comedy movies but in The Butterfly Effect he played a very good role and he was an amazing actor in that movie
I think Rosanio Davinichi Mosario is the best actor
I don't really think there is any "best" actor. Whenever I see an actor, they usually stick with a certain genre. So if I were to see somebody like Cameron Diaz in a horror, I wouldn't be able to see her as the wonderful friend being hacked into pieces but the wonderful friend in romances. And when somebody tends to act in a wide variety of genres, they're acting seems to be on the mediocre side. However, I do like "watching" Angelina Jolie, even if she is a dirty little whore.
Nowadays, most of the actors/actresses in these movies are mostly about looks and stuff. In the past movies, the number of old, medium aged, and young actors in the movies were evenly distributed. It was based off acting skills, not very much like today, where people go to see movies just to see the hot/sexy actor/actresses.
