Ok, so...the map I'm working on is called Labyrinth. I know there are some DM games out there, very few good ones, but they're out there. So I decided to create my own. Basically it's a giant maze. Map size is 128 x 64. I made it this size because the maze was a LOT of work. I hate terrain...
Anyway, I'm still planning unit stats/special triggers.
Here's some specs:
Roaming AI in certain areas. Some set to patrol multiple points in a row.
Only one air unit under---^ (Air units = defeat purpose of the maze, right?
)
Wide selection of units from all three races. (Due to path size, some units cannot be used because they are just plain fat. There will be around seventeen playable units.)
Seven different spawn locations.
(LoL, enough with the fake enthusiasm.
)
Uhm...still trying to figure out an upgrade system. I don't know whether I should give cash for kills and let you upgrade your attack/defense, or just let you change units, or both. I might have room for the first choice, though I'm not sure what I want. Maybe let you have more than one unit...still deciding.
A few special things I want to do:
Defiler swarm spawns infested terran and maybe plays a wav when you cast the spell/infested(s) spawn.
Text notifications such as "Killing spree! (5 kills without dying)", "Player x has y amount of kills remaining!" If the killing spree thing is possible, and I allow attack/defense upgrades, I would like to award a certain amount of minerals for a certain spree.
Teleport locations with text. "You found an underground passage way!" or something.
Overlapping unit names/text. (I don't know how to do this, yet.)
I'll probably have an opening sound in the brief. As well as some other random sounds.
Also, depending on how popular this map is, I will create a CTF version or a Team DM version.
So yea, feedback plz and thanks to those that help.
