Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Anti-Walling

I was wondering how the anti-wall trick was done in Defense maps. I don't know what the technique is called so I dubbed it as anti-wall. I will try to explain what I am talking about with the best English I can make (no, I'm not foreign, I'm just an idiot): Under normal circumstances the enemy units will run through your defenses to reach its destination without attacking, but if the destination is completely blocked by the player's defenses the units will attack the defenses until the destination is reachable again. How is this done with triggers? I hope I made sense and can be understood. God bless, and if you aren't religious, well... uhh... ...thanks for reading.

I dont think you even need triggers... just issue the order for the units to move and they should attack on their own... I'll do some more research and get back to you...

Just order unit to move to its locations and if it is blocked the computer ai will automaticly attack the units blocking them if they are set as enemy.

you have to set attack to location. and depends on if you have a strait line then you can make a strait location and if current player brings a certin number of bunks to location, then blow them up.

If you block the path (or almost block the path so they can barely get through even) they sometimes just stop completely and if they're unallied they'll start attacking, don't need extra triggers. BTW, don't use goliaths or tanks if they unally you and attack if you wall, they attack while they're moving so you're defence gets wrecked by them.

If you block the path, they will attack BUT they won't continue on the course so you DO need triggers to keep them running through at all times or just kill them at the end of a timer or something. An easy way to keep from walling is to just kill/move units that get in the path.
