Sigh, well, looks like the movie's set on Mars, but they decided to go with the virus motif. So very sad.

I've seen the previews for it and it seemed like it would be a good movie ,but I could be wrong

It should be a great movie, from the looks of it from this and the commercials on T.V. (Yes where I live they have commercials about Doom.)

Doom the movie will own. i went to the comic con and saw some of the stuff, In one part, the movies like a FPS, U see the guy first person, Lol

So it's messed up just like the director / writer for the Resident Evil movies messed up the whole game series and novels...fallowing a disoriented storyline...

I played Doom and Doom II, two of the most fun FPS ever. I'll mention that they had no storyline beyond what was on the back of the box.
But in the TV ad for the movie that I saw, the chainsaw was put in there... That weapon is what made the game back in the mid-90s, and it's what'll make the movie in the mid-00s.

I saw a couple more trailers after being dissapointed with the first one and I have to say I'm actually looking forward to this. One thing I noticed is that they are doing it in first person. Most of the movie you will be in the view of one of the characters as they walk through the complex. The fact they have horrible actors is totally made up by this fact. I just hope they don't screw with anything else ... like not having the BFG (I already saw the chainsaw).
