No, topics close automatically after a certain number of days. Seeing as how these forums aren't quite as active as the other ones, a lot of the topics you see are really really old. :/

The melee forum WAS fairly popular... I don't think a matter of time is going to do it. When Yoshi's finished choosing the reps then we'll know the fate of the melee forum.

Pretty much all the participants actually XD They make SEN's melee section look like a fat woman. That is to say, unattractive.

The majority of SEN sucks at melee. I enjoy observing melee games, and maybe a rare melee game, but I rarely play anyone I have a chance against. The site is made up of UMSers who're too afraid to try melee, (since they're afraid of losing), myself included. I wish I was better, because at the moment, I find it very stressful, since I have to focus on so many things at once. I guess I ought to try playing some, my current level of skill is pathetic.

I dont melee because I suck at melee.

But I enjoy making melee maps sometimes.

What are you talking about! Melee is the only fun part of the game! : P I dislike most UMS.. Except micros and occasionally some others.

Well its all newbs know how to play, mainly because it requires next to nothing in terms of skill or strategy.

I agree. and I though I was the only one who hated "fastest" maps... they can be fun but all they are is easy money and a path to the center...

It's always either a mass nuke rush or non at all. Or kill all the newbs with a n00bish cannon rush 6:00 into a fastest game!

I'd like to add that I believe it is because a majority of you are very rude to people who want help. You may be trying to help, but the way it is worded makes it look like you think pretty much any map sucks and only yours and ones created by professionals (Blizzard, WCG) are good maps.

I guess when blizzard made those maps, they intended them only for casual/fun/entertainment, not for competition. It just happens that their only good competitive map is Lost Temple, which is a very good example for what a good map should be.

... I like Blizzard maps lol.. I've been playing them recently and they're fun.. LT is a good map, with a slight balance issue. The base at 3 is the easiest nuked base. There is a slight area of cliff where you can drop a ghost and get the main minerals easily.. I don't know if that really qualifies as an "issue", but I thought that it was kinda bothersome, I've used it many times, you can use tanks too. Well it didn't bother me, because I was the one who thought to use it :-D.

Precisely, I don't enter competitions, I play StarCraft for fun

, thus even if the Blizzard maps are perfectly balanced they're close enough for me to have fun on them.
