Staredit Network -> Concepts -> New Concept Maps
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KrAzY on 2005-09-23 at 02:18:36
Some people might've seen my experiment maps, they say it's awesome and nifty but I have never seen at least one of them on any public map.

For new concept maps, I am making the gameplay a better experience, for my old concept maps, I will demonstrate on how it works on a map and will be used on my current maps. For the new concept maps, I will make it absolutly possible.

Maps:

Direct Move - This will make any unit go move exactly straight really fast where around your mouse is clicking at.

Reload System - This map will also be used on my current maps and does a demonstration on how to reload every weapon on my maps.

Unit Vision - I had screenshot on this before, but this concept is too buggy then I have to remake it.

Cheats - First, it should only be played on single player and you can do interactive ways than typing for cheats.

More Coming Soon...

Please feel free to further explain us how your system could be possible. I'd really like to know. Especially about "Unit Vision", I've been trying to achieve this but nah. Too hard for me. smile.gif

It's fun listening to you all describe new tricks that will impress other trick-obsessed map makers, instead of spending your time thinking of good ideas for maps.

You need to be able to do stuff like this before you can use any of your best ideas. EG, Platform type game : Direct move.

And that's why you just got banned, because of your highly annoying ignorance.

You don't need tricks to make a good map. I could use the regular editor, and 0 glitches/tricks, and still make a better map then any of you.

you dont need good ideas for a good map either. you can have a bad idea and turn it into a great map and good luck trying to beat tux and bolt with maps. but anyways, the vision thing is awsome from the old screenshots i saw. great for rpg use.

Can't you at least stop being a little newbie? I have made some concepts on the Campaign Editor before.

Here are some FAQs and Regulations for Dummies. (not really)

m.r.bob:
Won't work. I'm assuming your going to use rally points and EUD conditions.

However the rally point x and rally point y are located in the same byte.
Trust me this will mess you up completely.

It's possible, somebody made a detectable movement by going South, East, North and West even at diagonal.

yes it will, in fact, the fact that they are stored in the same four bytes makes it slightly easier.
m.r.bob: No it won't. They are stored in the same deathcount (which is what I meant) which complicates it too much. Trust me on this Doodle77, I tried it for my map.

The thing that they did wasn't rally points, it was screen position, which is using the arrow keys, not rally points. -.-
Show me the map just in case I'm mistaken.
