Pfft. It proves nothing. The fact that people are hearing/seeing things (which people do all the time) doesn't mean there's a "ghostly presence" in the city.
And the Bibles thing it's called a coincidence.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss what those military men and women are seeing.
Bah. Nowadays anything can be faked. I long for the good old days where a photo was proof for anything.
People beleive what they want. Most ghost chasers see specks of dust and say 'SPIRIT ORBS!!!!'...
Or they walk under a vent and suddenly 'It's cold here, there must be a ghost.'
If you want to see something, you will. But that doesn't mean its real.
Yesterday, here in Albuquerque, it was all over the news this alledged UFO. I laughed my ass off because I had taken some binoculars to it earlier and it has strings and stuff hanging off it, big and round and high. Weather Baloon. But no, people want to see UFO's, so they see UFO's.
Its probably just a nervous feeling since those military dudes probably haven't been in New Orleans for a long period of time. For example: When my family moved to a newly build house, there was a feeling of a precense watching us/touching us. After 3 years, that feeling went away.
Yes. Give the doubt of the benefit in the Bible thing. You know, I think this could be real, since GHOSTS are logical to science... (says u)
Errr, that was quite possibly one of the most disgustingly unscientific news report I've ever seen, the revelations stuff in all liklihood is a hoax, or at least thats the sorta thing I would do in a similar situation if I had some free time. And the hole in the ceiling...omgzors there was a massive storm, and now there's a hole in the ceiling, there must be ghosts, especially since I saw a cloud near it.
As for the little girl, can you say too much "FEAR" demo?
And nejii, who on earth said ghosts were logical to science, seeing as who you were is gone once your brain decays, it seems highly unlikly that somehow a part of you would stay on.
Yes. My brain's decaying. That's why I can make better maps than half the ppl here. You know, I only get hurt by insults that are true, and there is no way for me to change that. Those hurt the most. So, an example would be "you're ugly"
Also: Don't throw the first punch.
Way to type, CBS; "...I opened by eyes and..."
This is just dumb, There's no ghosts, spirits, anything 'supernatural'. It's all in their imaginations. Ever been somewhere that's basically empty? Yeah, you'll get the same feeling.
i believe in ghost but some of this sounds like bull blam...
the only thing that was weird was he bible thing
Prophecies at typically vague, allowing many interpretations, and since so many events happen, then it's not particularly hard for any to come true. I didn't even bother looking at the link. This is just bullsh-it.
I don't know whether it's true; I'm always skeptical of this, but since this is being reported by CBS, I thought maybe they had a good reason.
Every news network reports total BS occasionally.
The BBC tends not to report this kind of thing...
That's a pretty poor news article, complete with a spelling mistake. I think it was likely that people were looking at the book of Revelation before they died because they thought it was the end of the world when the hurricane hit and turned New Orleans into 'hell on Earth.' That may explain the number of bibles around turned to Revelation.
I suspect people are seeing/hearing things as well. It sounds a lot like The Ring or The Grudge.
Go to a place with a strong "Spiritual Presence" and get into a bathroom with a mirror. Make it completely dark so no light is visible. Say Bloody Marry three times into the mirror, and see what happens.
May work. May not work. Depends if you believe in that kinda stuff or not.
I beleive that it is possible because I have heard of the history of New Orleans, but i'm not going to say anymore because most of the members here will just make fun of my beliefs.
Personally, I believe that ghosts and all are complete bullblam. There's no conclusive proof, other than cetain people's experiences, and the senses can be easily fooled.
Supernatural things(Ghosts, God, etc) don't exist until they are proven. Pictures and articles prove nothing. The ideas of these existences are completely ridiculous, and the more I develop, the more ridiculous they become.
Burden of proof. Fact > Fiction.

I don't believe in gohsts but I'm still trying to find a way to explain what i saw that cold october night....

Ghosts appear only at the location of where they died. I do believe them, but the Revelation thing stated here previously, I belive that is the logical explaniation.

Fascinating..
But as Will said, poor knews article.
Nothing like CNN.

It was short, had no proof, and not enough long interviews Oo
This sounds like a hoax, even though i tend to believe in some supernatural.
Guess why
