Um... 172 x 172 is still gonna crash it... it's 192 x 192.

if the size is a problem for the map, make triggers restricting the units from going into the empty space..

No, the size is a problem because it isn't supposed to have numbers other then 64, 128, 192 and 256. Only way things other then that can work is if you had another map loaded up before playing that map.

cry.gif well its 192x192 with null on the edges now, cuz 172x172 still crashed

Some other sizes DO work but they are really risky and its pretty much a gamble to find an extended map size that runs correctly

Your map won't crash if you load a normal sized map before playing that map/

really? thats odd...

yeah dude.. just make the rest of the space null and whenever a unit tries to enter it have the unit ordered to move back twoards the middle.

Ok what exactly does that mean? How do you load another map before playing a map?!? Also why does SCM and Starforge allow you to use "custom" map sizes if they just crash SC anyways?

The size of a map shouldn't matter...
Just make sure that that isn't the first map you play when you go onto Starcraft...

Like, create another completely differnt map first and mebe play it for a few seconds, then leave the map and create your map... If it's the size, then that would fix it... I think.
