I think the melee forum should just be dropped. All it seems to do is attract noobs to a nearly empty forum and waste about a week of their time. It's pathetic to look at. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep the melee section in the DLDB, but the melee forum only seems to cause problems right now. I'm not going to ramble about what could have been, I'm just saying it's nothing but a waste of time right now.

I think we should keep it. From time to time we get a melee map, and dead or not, we still need it incase someone made a melee map and they don't know where to show it off to.

There shouldn't be a melee section, because it makes it look bad.

Then you can replace it with a list of links to places that don't suck. And by that I mean, put in an FAQ "Why isn't there a melee part to this site? Answer: Because the following links are so much better".

I think that Melee activity at SEN has been dwindling for the past few months. Most former SEN melee mapmakers went over to www.broodwarmaps.net, it's a lot more dedicated to melee mapmaking, which is probably why 4 of the 5 BlizzCon maps came from there.

By noob I mean new people wasting their time trying to get advice. I come in there, give about a nickles worth, and that's it. Real feedback comes from at least 8 people talking about the map. It used to be fairly prosperous, but it's not going to be that way ever again for several reasons I'm sure you don't care to read.

I'm getting more into Melee, I might start making melee maps, I'll probably go over to www.broodwarmaps.net since it's more of a melee site PT said.

Our melee section is dwindling, and i agree, It should be shutdown. the only problem being that closing the Melee site would probably change face for SEN, making many more sers leave.. Maybe even starting the gradual close of SEN.

Melee should stay, why? Because many people here ONLY make melee.

Go to the main list of all the forums. On the category name, look all the way to the right. There's a little minus sign box which can be used to hide all the info in the category. There, melee is gone.
