OK, for my map I need to create a plausible rendition of kami's lookout from DBZ, trouble is it's very very hard.

This is the intial draft I need help with this badly. If one of the good terrainers out there have any ideas to dress it up or make it look better I'll take them, hell I'll take anything.

I also forgot how to cloak barracks' to make shadows, help with that would be appreciated.

Simple, liftoff and the disable unit triggers. Invincibility helps. I thought of doing Kame's lookout awhile ago, but there's not any real roundness in starcraft. Maybe in Badlands, with some of the rock doodads and some psi aura sprites... hmm.

I tried lift off disable and it didn't work... I know I can't make iit round, but I can come close. The main idea is to have a tower or the main map and when you fly up to it you go to this area, the water is just sky, all have another piece of the tower and the shadow. But I want the lookout itself to be somewaht nice, and I can't use sprites.

Well, the structure in desert reminds me of the type of tile on Kame's lookout, but I don't know what to do about the sides.

if u want to have something reletavely round, u can make a hexagon thing in desert...

I can make the terrain but if you think you can do better than my final outcome go for it. Just look up a pic of korins tower, or the watchtower.

Dont use sky at all...your looking from the top down on kami's lookout tower so just put grass or something...i wonder how you could do it to make it look far away though...because you would still see all the little grass clumps which you wouldn't see if you really were that high...i dunno you could figure it out...your better than i am at this stuff

yeah you should also add a sprite to make the poll thing that Goku climed in DB so it would appear as if it was in the sky

You can make like really small units like mineral chunks named "house" or someting. And, cloaked bulidings for clouds...

you could make the sky thing with someone's idea where you put scattered swarm on the ground, then cover them with pylon aura

I can't use any sprites at all in this map.

The poll is no longer there as the nyuibo was destroyed with the lookout in dbz.

The house idea is awsome.

Might you explain why you cant use sprites, I'm a curious guy. Also asphalt with cloaked lifted units around it would be good for a cloudly sky but get a lighter water tile if you're gonna leave water as the sky.

I can't use sprites because it's going to be ahuge game with massive amounts of units in use at any one time and I don't want it to lag out people like merrell.

Make the terrain not complex. And most units will be air.

unfortunately Starforge has its limits cry.gif But it would be i nice piece if the blends worked.
