ok im making a defence map and when i used http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=81 that tutorial for my map the minerals just kep going up and didn stop..... so i tried a diff way with switches and stuff but that also didn work pinch.gif anyone wanna tell me a way i can do it without making 100 triggers and just in 1 - 5 triggers or so?

Use Method 1, it is the best simple method of straight KTC. It works as long as you aren't doing splash kills.

Most D's use splash. Im looking for a better method of kills 2 cash as this 1 is outdated and not fast enough. Also when the kill count gets high enough it must be reset.

I would show what type of trigger I did but im at school right now hahah. My trigger isnt really for kill=1 mineral. Found that out last time i had this problem. It all depends on the unit that you kill. Say if you kill a zergling, get you get one mineral, but killing hero will give more. Ill show you what i put unless you find that one topic in this site lol. Once i get home ill post it up. Sorry about explaining...really cant explain thing as well hahahahaha.

there is a program that will make all of the triggers for you.. I dont know what its called but its in the dldb... all u do is type the kind of kill and when it stops and the trigs are generated

The program is called SCTrigger and we prefer you not use it because it will just make your map size bigger. The KTC (Kills to Cash) perfect will do the same with fewer triggers.

it went as high as 29 mb...
and to think 29 mb of triggers, thats really alot of trigger >.<

That perfect system doesnt work well with multiple units(ie. kill a ling 1 mineral kill a lot 2 minerals ect.). I'm looking for a system like that.

Current player kills score is exactly 100

Modify score for Current player: Subtract 100 kills

hmm... that system makes it exponentially harder to get another three minerals and one gas every time, since the scores required are doubling each time, but the minerals gained are increasing by the same amount each time. So it's better to kill lots of low level units rather than a few high level ones.

But basing the mineral reward on Blizzard's kills scores are an effective and simple method, and can work quite well in many cases.

whats kill score?
is the loader board score system or something?
or is it just a trigger which has kill score thing

ADDITION:
err never mine i found i out what the kill score trigger was
but dont you need a leader board score thing or something since the kill score trigger is in the "score" trigger conditions

yes but use deaths or razings or custom not kills...kills has a different number for each unit.
