Map description

Map Size: 192 x 192
Available players: 5
Genre: Horror Action


Story line

You are one of the elite hacker. Someday, to test your ability, you hack into government-owned satelite. You take control of satelite, and you decide to see what's going on in the world by extreme zooming ability of satelite. As you zoom in closer, you see some bright lights over the country. You zoom in closer and closer, and discover some people on the street, but those people don't seem to act like human. You wonder and look closely. You find them that they are not human.

I think in most of RE maps, you become the character in the game. But in my RE map, you become yourself sitting in front of computer, and helping people(survivor) to go right direction. This doesn't mean you can't control their actions. You still get direct control, but you interact with them in 3rd person view.


Features

- Traffic System
Every vehicles and civilians in the city act like real.

- Vehicles
You can enter/exit any type of vehicles, and even hijack vehicles.

- Ammo System
Your ammo decreases as you fires.

- Zombie mutation
People who have been bitten by zombie will turn into zombies.

- Day&Night
In day time, you can see entire map, but in night time, you can see only areas that have street lights.

why is it a resident evil map though? To do resident evil maps your sapose to know alot about the novels, games, and movies. This looks like a "zombie" map. I seggest you come up with a new name because i would feel insulted to see this map have Resident Evil in it. BTW zombies are called B.O.W.s in resident evil. Bioweaponry created by Umbrella Inc.'s experimental bioweaponry devision the 'White Umbrella'. Each white umbrella leader has a pocket size book, this book has all the codes to the security systems, bioweaponry storage rooms, secret rooms, and much more. Getting one of the little pocket sized books can lead to the downfall of the entire pharmaceutical company via Umbrella Corporation.

So.. your saying that it's pretty much were just playing it like we do all the other zombie maps because.. all maps on bw are 3d person view. Also, you might want to post some screenshots or tell us more information about the map (Players,Tileset,Size,ect). Good luck on the map.

Yep, you are right. I don't know much about Resident Evil. Although I've played Re2, Re3, and watched movie Re1 and Re2, but I still don't know much about Resident Evil. I read your posts in other thread. You seem to know alot about Resident Evil. Perhaps you can help me on making up stories. smile.gif

How are going to manage the traffics, or make a bitten citizen become a Zombie? Use Grid system? Micro Scan?

Yep, I will use Micro Scan. But the problem is that Micro Scan only supports instant events. So I should improve it so that it supports Timed-Events as well.
And about traffic system, I haven't decided whether cars will be driven by the roads or drive on roads. Confused? O_o

Car gets driven by the roads - Every cars have patterned movement.
Car drives on roads - Every cars decide their own destination.

Yeah but All My Map including A car Pattern failed, Tanks, Vulture, can't follow a road, unless it go straight like north, sud, east, west.

The waterfall isn't very shwifty if you know what I mean. On the sides of the direct place falling down, you see ledges. On the water you see it flat...

you should add a bit more blending with the terrain. i mean how often will you see a square block of land sticking into the ocean. Just try to make it as real as possible.

lol @ airplane thats hilarious lol will it really look like that in the game though, because wont the traps be like un-opened. I like the terrain it's blocky, but i think it works well with your map, not all good terrain has to be un-blocky. I think this map will be cool when it's finished. Also lol chris u seem sorta mad he took ur street light idea biggrin.gif it's a cool idea, you'll prolly see other people using it from now on.

The terrain is really blocky i've noticed... especially on the waterfall. I mean I see where your trying to go with it but... yeah. Message me - Reflektor. @ US East
if you need help on fixing up that terrain and good luck on the map!

PS : How will you be doing the 3rd person view without commanding the units, exactly? ( Street lights are sexy ! )
