I started this trying to blend temple terrain to dirt, so far this is as close as I've gotten. But I found a better way to blend high dirt to water. It makes the transition slightly less blocky.
Slightly influenced by Woodenfire.Blend temple to dirt eh? That gives me an idea.
here's what i'd do but i dont feel like it lol
u know how bridge is kinda like temple? well blend the bridge in at the end where you want it to transit, then put the end's of the bridge on it.
the blending on high cliff to water looks nice

and Toothfariy's idea sounds good
Wow, quite cool.
thats cool, i like the lowering cliff thing at the left side, but i found blending high dirt to water the old way was relatively easy enough...
that is cool though
I will continue to see if I might discover the blend between that pain in the ass temple top terrain to dirt or, for that matter, ANY transition with plyable base terrain.
Rantent, too much mirrored pieces! Ahh... The 1/2 block till dirt from temple spot on this picture is the highlight of my day, great blended pieces.

Ya, I know and the cliff ones could have been changed.

Not bad , im not a blending expert ( yet anyways ) but it looks as if it could be smoothed out a wee bit more.
I like it, but I haven't really gotten my eye for terrain back yet (just getting back into mapping). I'd say it was well blended but like I said I haven't got my eye for it back yet.
It is blended perfectly... lol, I got a few eyes leftover, sum1 need an extra 1?
No visible blockiness, just rather... boring. 5/10.
Its not supposed to be exciting Wilhelmet! He was just showing us his progress with temple blending to dirt.

You did a better job at it though.
His wouldn't have blended to regular temple/grass very easily, this does cleanly. (Actually you might be able to combine the two somehow, never tried that. Then it would be flawless.)
If I wanted perfectly smooth, unexciting terrain blends, I would've stuck with ISOM. You can do better then this, Rantent.
I just finished my first attempt at Temple stairs into normal terrain, its kinda good, kinda bad... Idk, I will post it on SEN in a few to see if thers any response. Gj to you Rantent, good ideas!

Ok, I know there is a blocky part, but this is more useful.
IF YOU CAN FIND A WAY TO TRANSITION THE BLOCKY PART ON IT, I WILL GIVE YOU 1000 MINERALS! (Not to mention youll be famous.

)
ive been trying but theres a tile that u had in there that i just cant find...
for that one tile thats makes it blocky, try 562 - 12 (starforge)
lol wow maps are now like sigs well i think it looks aight good job man i cant wait to see this one out
what do u mean maps are like siggys?
LOL!! Glytcher, that was my original try at that corner peice, but the peice I switched it to was 1029 - 3.
The peice you sugested has blockiness in the transition to the temple wall, (It was only a vertical line, but still) which is what I was trying to get rid of by using my peice. But now it has blockyness at the upper part of the tile.
Meh.. I've looked through probably everything in SF and I couldn't find a tile..
(Maybe its impossible

)
nothings impossible, but i think thats just about as good as itll get...
its not bad at all too...
