Ok I used starforge last year on making my upcoming RPG. I stopped for a year, found the RPG that I started to make on a floppy and decided to remake/finish it for good and bring it out into the community.
I forgot ALOT of things ever since I quit about mapmaking, but my question is this:
Lets say I use SF to make sprites and such. I save it to lets say for example: "rivenfinal". I play rivenfinal map and it works fine with the sprites on it. Now, when I want to EDIT triggers/units/etc, I have to go back to starEDIT. When I try to load "rivenfinal" (The SF file) all the doodads get erased.
NOW.. Just please refresh my memory. How can I save the staredit file so it shows the modifications on starForge? OR.. how can I save the starForge file so it shows the modifications on the starEdit? OR basically.. how can i have them BOTH on the same map when i play it, and have it turn out that both modifications from both programs are on one map?
Thank =] (and sorry for being a newbie again) =O
i dont know what modificcation u did on staredit but you could do everything then at the end when your about to finish your map you go to starforge and putthe spirits in
Easiest way, learn text-based triggers. Shouldn't be too hard, theres a guideline when you type it in.
Well i know scmdarft turns sprite into dodoad so it stay when u load it in xtra.

if it was his first time on that it would be way too confusing
believe me i didn get a single thing in the SF editor untill like a month or so after...
Its not that difficult to learn syntax...especially in starforge. All you do is double click the condition you want and put a (...then above the condtion window it explains what must be put next...here is an example
Accumulate(Player, Comparison, Number, Resource Type);
Accumulate(CurrentPlayer, AtLeast, 5, Ore);
