No. This was a big feature in the EUD triggers, but now that they have been patched I'm pretty sure it is not possible.

Open it with a map editor.

ok but 2 more things pretty sure u can do it too. this map only makes it go to 2x would it be possible to make it go to 2x then 4x but using different conditions, and would it matter were the crystal and scv are on the map?

Isn't 2x speed a map revealer owned by player 14?

1) Only 2x speed toggle is possible.
2) The position of the Crystal and SCV do not matter.

Almost any Player 13 unit work but Player 14 is claimed to be more "stable."

well anyone else please do say if u have a possible way of making 4x toggle is possible
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Joshgt2 on 2005-10-23 at 23:22:38
Player 13 map revealer is x2. Any player 14 unit is x2. Player 14 scarab is x4.

That is all I know of

well how would u make it so u can use a scarab to toggle the speed...

ADDITION:
just did this so the topic would goto the top of the list tongue.gif
so more people would look at it

I have an idea...what if...BIG IF...but what if you could have a reaver shoot somewhere and you could have a trigger give the scarab (owned by player 12 for those who don't know) and give it to player 14? Maybe that would work? I might try it... happy.gif

ADDITION:
Okay in attempting to change speed from normal to x4 speed, i ran into one small problem...you can't give units to player 14 pinch.gif Now i am wondering if this is even possible...ill keep trying though.

I tested with this by adding map revealers so i could see how it worked but when i turned x2 speed on then the map revealers did not work anymore. When i turned it off, it worked again and i could see everything. Even though i did not find a way to toggle x4 speed i still think there should be more testing because what i just found out is kinda weird to me...

I don't think you can give untis to players 12 and up...

And the player 13 thing only speeds up graphics, not movement.

you sure u can't give to player 14. did u do the trigger in starforge because in xtra u can only give to 8 and under but sf can give to any player i think unless thats what u did

Just because you type in the action doesn't mean it will do it. You can't give units to P14, and P14 units are not affected by triggers of any kind.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Turin.oO on 2005-10-27 at 19:05:52
You can't give units to players 13-27. I found that out. And even if you type it out in starforge it will say something like, "Invalid variable". You CAN give units to players 1-12, 28-255. I don't remember what players 13-27 is for but giving them units will totally F-up starcraft which is why you can't give them any units even in starforge. They are vital to starcraft.

The trigger is definately possible since in the puzzling they do it maybe use a trigger viewer to see what they did.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Sniper on 2005-10-27 at 20:54:22
The only thing the puzzling did is center a ling under your ling and preserved it. This causes all units around the ling to slow down. You can't speed up the unit however.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Turin.oO on 2005-10-27 at 22:05:17
Yeah we are talking about speeding UP not slowing down. Slowing down has been known for quite a while.

Players 13-27 are used as forces and all players, and such. Player 28-255 are just empty bytes.
