Some of you might know who I am for making Galaxies End RP 4 -- Downloadable in my sig.
Well, now that we've all seen what I call the "Next Generation" RP's, I've begun once more the arduous task of creating an RP.
Basic map statistics:
-UMS
-7 Players Supported
-1 Neutral Computer Player (For spawning purposes.)
-256x256
-Space Tileset
-Brood War only.
In RP Terms, here's the basic statistics:
Mind Control Spawning -- Hypertriggered so we get smoother spawning than other MC RP's. [progress]100[/progress]
8 Commandships -- Hero Wraith, Both Limited qty. BC's, Razagal, Artanis, Kukulza (Muta), Ganthritor, and Danimoth. [progress]50[/progress]
There will be detailed hull terrain to support the Command Ships. [progress]10[/progress]
Command Ships will have the old Fire Torpedo//Drop Bomb feature. [progress]40[/progress]
There will not be "houses" or whatever. (See the Quasi-Post Apocalypse RP...) (N/A)
Now that you're familiar with the standard features we get to the un-standard. This is what I'm asking you guys for--ideas of useful features that I could incorporate into the RP to make it stand out. I hear Volc's got some sort of teleport system in the new one he's making, but I'll leave that to him.
The only non-standard features so far will be bunker warping and cloaking. For bunker warping see GERP 4 or one of the newer SC Torunament maps, as those are the only places I've seen it used.
Bunker Warping:
Takes a bunker and moves it to another location. However, the bunker does not shoot form its new spot. But, when an enemy walks by the old spot, (which can be built upon or walked through) the gunfire will appear from nowhere firing at the enemy untill it dies or escapes.
Bunker Cloaking:
Duh...?
Hypothetical--EUD WCIII-Style Unit Spawning
Player says the unit's name and it spawns. I'll have to learn EUD's first. :/
So ya, any ideas that would suit an RP are appreciated.
