Report, edit, etc...Posted by KABOOM on 2005-10-23 at 14:07:52
use starforge and test the black looking terrain if its walkable..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by HolySin on 2005-10-23 at 14:11:08
Black terrain is (1-14) I believe.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KABOOM on 2005-10-23 at 14:13:19
what u talking about null terrain?
cause thats not walkable just placeable for buildings
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Subrosian on 2005-10-23 at 14:14:44
You can walk on null terrain if you start on creep.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-10-23 at 14:34:53
If you look at each row of tiles, they are all the same. The nulls are similar, but not always exact.
Creep Null tiles you can walk on, and move around on
Dirt null tiles you can create units on, make "creep bridges", but if you actually step on the null, your guy starts acting like he's in the middle of unwalkable area (water, in buildings)
Water you can't walk on
etc.

(Your looking for creep null tiles, but creep will stop near it, but on the other side of the null if the terrain allows creep will spread.. I could screenshot what I just explained if it makes no sense)

O)FaRTy1billion, can you give examples of tile numbers that are creep null and dirt null tiles?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-10-23 at 14:56:00
Look at each row, the creep row will have 14 creep tiles, and then 2 nulls.

um?? Say that in a nonconfusing way blink.gif

Report, edit, etc...Posted by Subrosian on 2005-10-23 at 19:52:55
But you don't need space null terrain for walkable terrain.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by roule on 2005-10-23 at 20:02:17
Right, but knowing theres a space null can lead to new map concepts.

Open up the master palette and use the Null terrain that is to the right of the Creep terrain or the Null terrain to the right of the Dirt terrain.

i didnt have to start on creep. dry.gif
all i did was place one square of Null(1-14) then just surround it by water.
it will not say warning in big yellow letters. it will just sit there. happy.gif
then if you move your unit to the water or any terrain (I mean anykind) it will hope over the wall or just walk on it.
but you cant get back up there. biggrin.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow_Lover on 2005-10-24 at 18:53:37
so all i have to do is do that null tille and it is waklable?
