Oh come on, The damn felagund's soviet mark has been there all the time!!!
The swastika is too far? I would say it's as bad as soviet mark disgust.gif

Write swastikas all over a test paper, hand it in, see what happens (especially if he's Jewish). I guarentee you'll get in ****, and if you do it again, probably expelled...

If you think it's just as bad, take yours down and complain about the soviet mark. German's in WWII weren't all bad, infact, they were usually kinder than the Americans (think, the French and their rations) if you weren't a race they were targeting, but the fact is the flag doesn't stand for sharing rations with the French, it stands for killing inferior races. That's why the American flag isn't taboo, because it stands for freedom and liberty or some ****, not what the country actually does (like stealing rations from the French in WWII).

Sorry, I'll stop harrassing you with answers to your questions.

PS: My only source on those French rations is my Grandma who was in (when she was a little girl) France while it was taken over by the Germans, and that was just the conversation that occured one day.

Actually soviets did the same things, just to other nations.

Swastika is also the mark of fire and thunder in Latvia's native culture so it doesn't have to be exactly Nazi swastika...

And if it is as you said taboo theme, then should we be so limited and ban and punish everybody who talks about something taboo?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chronophobia on 2005-10-25 at 15:01:07
What could we think then? Do you actually we are acossiating your swastika to something latvian when it's smelling nazism all over you?

Just... Get banned or something

And one thing, I won't rate things because of it's stupidity. And for the second, the latvian thing isn't really latvian, it's chinese and if it is that symbol it should be mirrored wich yours isn't.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Gigins on 2005-10-25 at 15:19:29
It's Latvia's native culture mark of thunder and fire and maybe chinese something.
How do I know? I am Latvian, I was born in Latvia and I live in Latvia...

The swastika originated in asia as a good luck symbol. It wasn't auspicious at all until after world war 2.

I still find it offensive.
It seems since you can't be punished for it, you are trying to piss people off.
I mean, it's just a little excessive.
As a side question...
Where do you live?

Seriously, the swastika has no offensive symbolism. It stands for fortune and good luck in it's area of origin. People are offended by it mearly because Hitler chose it as the symbol of his political party. What if he had chosen a wal-mart happy face? Would history have been changed? Would Wal-Mart feature a swastika? Who's to say.
