Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Need a editing tool
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TDT-DaRkFiRe on 2005-10-25 at 15:42:56
I need somekind of editing tool wich I can edit all the SC units with at once.

Like for example, put all the Mineral cost to 0%, or 0% build time.

I used to do this with GUEedit, but it doesnt work for me anymore.

Mmh, dont think that does what I said..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KABOOM on 2005-10-25 at 16:27:25
there is no editor that sets all build times to 0 you'd have to go to unit settings and do it that way but for minerals starforge and scmdraft can set all the minerals the same smile.gif (never used GUEedit so gotta take your word that its possible)

setting the build time to 0 makes it crash the game. and i dont think there is a program like this.

As far as i know, 0 time is impossible, though really fast isnt..
If you figure out a way, i advise keeping it 1 in the build speed menu..
Never heard of a tool that can do that.
Do it manually.
More time, but less chances to be buggy biggrin.gif

It is possible, I once put the "0" upgrade number 8739 in building time and it was 0 in game. But the unit had low hp.

puttin 8739 in building time works, but it only works 4 some buildings, some buildings will crash...

thats only for xtra editor but in starforge or scmdraft u just have to put 0

only for upgrades. When putting building time for units and buildings i found that you HAD to do 1 or it would crash. But when i did it...it was just as fast as 0 so it doesn't really matter.

doing the building times in starforge will make them the fastest they can be. i think its true for scm draft, too. but if you do it in xtra, it will be slower.

8739 in SCXE makes it turn to 0.

However, Zerg units, among other buildable things, may crash the game if the build time is 0. This is not a consistent problem, and thus most people disregard it.

i read somewhere in sen that you could set the build time of anything to miliseconds...you can just set it to 1 milisecond and done... it's not a 0 but it should be good it think it's scmdraf where u do it

But you need the 8739 thing for time factor or else the upgrades will build up time.

I think only upgrades can be set to 0, though.

Don't use SCXE to set build time; use Starforge/SCMDraft and set build time to 1.

ADDITION:
You should use Starforge/SCMDraft for build time, too, since you can set it to 0 just by typing "0". smile.gif

Setting the build time to '8739' in x-tra editor works i beleive.

It litterally sets the build time to 8739.

Does anyone know the limit (in SCXE) for upgrade time? Like before it gets turned to 0?

i would make 1...(lmfao yeah right)

Well, like snipe said, upgrade time will keep going up, so those need to be 0.

Never had problems crashing map with 0 time before. But on the other hand, I didnt do it that much either. happy.gif

I just tested the 8739 build time at a command center and it worked, alltough the building only had 10% of its hitpoints and wasnt repairable.

open scmdraft2 put a 1, its as fast as 0 or maybe faster, and it won't have low hp either.

It counts in miliseconds not seconds. So 1 is 1 milisecond.

So U mean that in melee, a pylon is build in 80 milliseconds?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Urmom(U) on 2005-10-27 at 15:21:51
A millisecond is 1/1000 of a second. and no, that would obviously be too fast. i think it's game seconds.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2005-10-27 at 18:54:41
Game seconds in Staredit. In Starforge and SCMDraft it is, I believe fifteenths of a second. It was proven.
