Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> [SOLVED] Changing unit owners WITHOUT starforge
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Joshgt2 on 2005-11-01 at 15:30:14
I know that it is possible to change the owner of a unit in things like X-tra editor where all you do is right click on the unit and you can then choose which player then can own it. The only problem is that on X-tra editor the players only go 1-8 and you can not make a unit go to player 9 or something like that. I know that in Starforge all you have to do is type in which player you want the unit to belong to, but I don't want to use starforge. Is there any way of doing this without using starforge at all? Can I do this using SCM Draft 2? Someone please answer to this for me.

Draft. You can do everything using Draft, and many more than using SF.

k with vanilla staredit
1- place starting locations
2- set the races to the same
3- place the units
4- select them
5- right click and select properties
6- select the player(which has to be the same race)
7- Accept
8- Done

Normal staredit can't do P9+ units though, which is what he wanted. He already knew how to do those.

StarForge is known for putting bugs into maps and I don't want a bug in my map. Thanks for the help people, I found out what to do.
