Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> [SOLVED] Unit Limits
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Doodan on 2005-11-02 at 12:25:24
I know there is a limit to the number of units that can be created with the "Create Unit With Proterties" trigger, but is there a limit to the number of units that can be created with the "Create Unit" action? I'm about to make a map that will probably require thousands of units to be created in about 20 seconds. They will be killed as fast as they are created so the map won't overpopulate, but I just wanna make sure there's no limit to it before I start. I don't wanna get halfway through and find out there is a limit.

you mY have up to 64 CUWP create unit with properties, but that does not mean you can only create 64 units. it means 64 different properties, if you use starforge or scmdraft you can reuse the same properties on other units.

example: CUWP:1, invincible. you can use the property over and over agian without reaching your limit. but you may have only 64 unique CUWP.

and the answer to your question is: there is no limit on the regular create unit action.
and the answer to your other question is: there is no limit on CUWP, the only factor is you may have only 64 unique properties. SCXE and StarEdit takes up a CWUP slot for each property you use even if they are the same property.

if you have this problem still, then use starforge or scmdraft, and also a cwup slot editor will help.

I'm using Xtra Editor Classic Mode. I figured there wasn't a limit to it, but I just wanted to be absolutely sure before I got started. Thanks you guys! smile.gif
