Okay this is a map I just made, I don't know what's missing, but I'm sure stuff is so tell me stuff to add and I will. It's a kind of small map with plenty of expansions, atleast in my mind. The SCM to JPG Converter didn't work very well for this map, but I'll put up what it did make.

I know the mini thing sucks I couldn't fix it I tried.. Yenku feel free to rate, I'll just ignore the flames and the "You should just stop trying now.."


ADDITION:
I'll just sort of describe it to you from what you can see, the top half is symmetrical to the bottom half, so yeah. The area above Red, if you could see it, it would be below blue is a mineral thing inside the base, no gas. The next area where you can see from the path in the middle and is walk to able is an expansion with gas. Normal platform island is a mineral only expansion, and then the plating island is a gas only expansion. I'm not sure, but one problem is there needs to be more room for flanking against terran push right?

ADDITION:
I just found a balance issue, if anyone cares, Red's mineral only area wasn't actually reachable by ground :-\, found and corrected smile.gif.

Wow. Not to be rude but this map is abysmal. Granted its only your second map, but still :/

WAY TOO F***ING NARROW, lets just get that out of the way

Alright, that wasn't terribly rude, narrowness I can understand, expos I cannot. You are looking at the farked up JPG image which I explained in my post.. So maybe you should learn to as you would say F***ING READ, lets just get that out of the way. tongue.gif. I cannot fix the image, I tried, but I explained where the minerals are placed if you could read. Stupid ass..

ADDITION:
I made it wider, the program is still screwing up on me, but you can see the terrain sort of. I also made the natural expo easier to reach with like a pathway. Check first post for updated screenshot.

Oh, now that i've opened it i see the expos, but in the original image it shows only the main minerals, so i thought it would show the rest, hence i thought it didnt have expo's

ADDITION:
Also, i could make the image for you if i was so inclined, but it takes more work than i want to do tongue.gif Oh yea, the mains and expo's are tiny as <insert expletive here>

Well, you should have read my first post instead of just jumping into the picture. Do you think people just type stuff to take up room?

If you didn't do so check the updated screenie, I didn't update the map, I was too lazy. I think us SENers are lazy.

No, no that wasn't exactly it. I said it looked like the Zerg's creep might not spread out very well, there is a very distinct difference. Well I like the map god dammit..

Honestly, it took a lost of restraint for me not to tell you to uninstall your Staredit because this map was so bad.

I can still make UMS maps thank you very much. Melee maps just aren't really my strength at this point closedeyes.gif . I'm trying to improve, but to be honest you people aren't very helpful in that.

I played this map versus a person, by the end I had like 10 hatcheries and all the other buildings needed for zerg. I do see what you mean by how it could get cramped. I think I'm starting to see this stuff better, see Yenku I can learn to make maps better! Basically everywhere has to have a mass of open space.. You also have to watch out for anyplace being able to be hit by siege tanks and having it hard to return fire. The mass of open space is so the protoss can spread out vs tanks. So a lot of the game revolves around Siege Tanks... I swear some day I'm just going to make a map that says "Only use Protoss and Zerg on this map" lol. <--- Joke

Eh, close enough. Your getting it. And i'm trying to be helpful, but its hard when the map is just impossible to improve just because of how it is made.

Yeah, I'm starting to understand, I'm making another one right now actually, it's on Jungle, for four players... 192x192. This map is beyond correction, it might be fun for like a quick 5 minute game though.

Sorta hard to understand where the expos are..

Interesting idea.


Two wide chokes is a bad idea..
PvT--Protoss can pump out zealots with a 2 gate and win within minutes.

ZvP--Lings can rush by early zealots or even cannons and ruin economy.

TvZ--Only matchup without a blatant disadvantage to either race.

Post the map if you want advice on expos.

I did post the map, I posted a picture too, but the picture maker was being an ass hole to me :-\. I now realize why this map is bad, I'm making another map it'll be better, I hope..
