As the description says, I'm not sure if this topic belongs here or in null.
I'm looking into some video cameras because I have some projects I'd like to document. I know I'm going to need a good camera for this, so I ask you: What video camera should I get?
I'm not looking for like 'teh Über camera of doom' just something reasonable for personal use.
Suggestions?

Do you have a price range?

I'm seeing prices ranging from $300 - $5,000. Wow, I'll be staying on the cheap side.

I could easily steal it. I'm not going to, but I could.
I'm thinking about just going to Best Buy or some place like that near my house and browsing their stuff and maybe ask someone who works there about it.

I use a classic DVC 100.
I don't think you can find them anymore though. Basically its the size of your knuckles when you make a clenched fist. (So its quite small) takes 2 magepixel shots and only cost me $88.00. (Although I think they mixed up on tagging the product.) They store video on a multimedia card. I currently have about a gig of video footage on mine.

I don't know if you should get one though, mine is three years old and the companies probably made newer versions with more capabilities. happy.gif
