Staredit Network -> Terrain -> The Fort
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Syphon on 2005-11-07 at 21:44:42
I got a new idea for a game, but it involves maknig several unique forts of terrain. The all have to look ancient, and I want them to blend as well as possible.

Here's my first, if you can help me blend it better go for it.

Also if you have anything along similar lines I'd be glad to use it.

It is still Über blocky.

But, that is (from what I can see) the best it will possibly get. So, great job on it. I think it looks pretty damn nifty.

-9/10 on creativity.
-8/10 on execution.

So, that would be 8.5/10! 85% That seem fair for me! bleh.gif

I like it.

Also, it gives me an idea.

Not Uber blocky, only about 4 noticeable tiles.

Its pretty good Syphon. You used blends which made it look better too, even though it has some blockiness. 7/10 for you.

(I haven't seen you make terrain in a while too)

I jump from one thing to the next, while I wasn't doing terrain I was doing GFX.

Revised and made MUCH less blocky.

No sprites. The map will be too unit intensive for them.

but it gives it that camouflage look.....a fort isnt a fort unless its hidden, or well armored.....

-9/10 on creativity for sure...

its not that blocky expect its hard to blend with just normal terrain.. becuase it just doesnt fix in perfect angel... and o-0 version just... used spirit to cover it up lol

I think the regular temple looks better then that... doesn't look like a "fort" to me at least. And Valug, good for him, but I really don't think anyone cares.

Show me. I went through Cresent Dyne looking for ideas for blends before I made this and found none.

U always manage to crack my mouth wide open Woodenfire.

I really like the part down on the right. It looks really Ancient and Broken. But the piece of temple on the top has a pretty blocky part in it.

Eh... I was just trying to make it just a little more "Forty."

Lol... not my best piece, it only took me around 15 minutes.
