Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> [SOLVED] stupid beacons

Hey in another map I am making, I have some preplaced beacons, and starcraft seems to just give them flags all of a sudden during the game.

should I just do a trigger to remove them or is there something else I'm missing as to why they are there in the first place?

would a removeunit do the trick?

You may have noticed that there are two types of beacons for each race. Like "Terran Beacon" and "Terran Flag Beacon"
All of the flag beacons create flags. You can just kill or remove the flags if you dont want them, or use normal beacons.

Flag beacons create a flag on top of where they were originally placed after 60 seconds. A remove unit would work to get rid of the flag, but placing normal beacons would work much better.

It's for the CTF game type. Although I would think they create a flag after 10 minutes, not 60 seconds, because 10 minutes is how long it takes in CTF...

i would remove them with triggers but the beacon with flags create after 10 mins for ctf games

Wouldn't having a trigger of always killing a flag at the location of the flah on the beacon lag the game. You could make it so when the flag appears then the trigger is used... Another idea could deal with the hanger number. I don't know if something like this is even possible but it just came up into my mind. You could always set the hanger count at 0 for it? well maybe not for that kind of object...
