Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Speed

Hewo everyone, I've got a question [obviously]. Whenever I try to implement the 2x/4x speed into a map, it doesn't work! I put in the necessary unit first, and then everything after, then go to BW and test play it in melee, but it NEVER works! I've even gone so far as to come into the DLDB here and download the 2x speed Lost Temple map and tested that one, and the 2x speed didn't work on that one either!

Could it be that Blizzard has patched 2x speed or something?

You can only have pre-placed units in UMS mode.

You will have to play the map in the use map settings setting. The melee map won't take something like that since it is the normal game and not modified

preplaced buildings aren't preplaced buildings on a melee map, since melee is always random start locations.

2/4 speed sucks for most maps because the units fail to automatically respond in most cases, and you have to physically tell them to engage, every time.

Thats cool for like rpgs though. If you really wanted to have some fun you could make a burrowed ling run under your unit with hyper triggers so that you walked at normal (or close to) speed but everything else went faster, like you shot faster, and you enemies would move faster. That would be a cool way to make a sniper map. Put it on 4x speed and put zerglings under each sniper so that they still walk the same speed and you only have to right click to kill...ooo an idea!
