Ok, I just got registered to SEN about 3 days ago and i noticed that almost everyone has their name in their signature picture. How do i do this (noob here). helpsmilie.gif

not really needed boyscout. you can use paint, gimp, photoshop, paint shop pro, and even irfanview. just have to put text in there.

For Paint and most of the other programs:
Open paint
Open picture
Click on the large A on the left side
Adjust some settings such as size, font, and color to get your final result.

In photoshop you can have glow around your text, and other neat things. but since your new, just use paint for now.

and photoshop is the most common one paint cant really do anything speical with font unlike photoshop

Paint is easier for people just starting out though. I made a nice one with The Gimp once, but the mods decided it was too big so they deleted it and warned me, so I decided not to waste my time anymore.

I'm pretty sure you can download a trial version off of adobe, but not 100%. Or, you could buy it... for an incredibly high price.......

I got mine free with my scanner (for a fraction of the cost smile.gif), you might beable to find an offer like that if you look around on the internet.

And yeah.. i havent heard anything about adobe making discounts only for schools.
