Sexism, hopefully all of you know what it means. I'm going to list some trends I've noticed lately:
1: Since Fifth Grade, and Excluding Eigth, every student council president from the higghest grade in my school has always been a girl. (Except eigth, like I said.)
2: In more than three Contests held at my school that involved any type of "personal" flare, all top three winners were girls. Including a contest this week at my school. Although I agree the first place submission kicked my submission's butt, the third place entry was a joke.
3: Ever notice how teachers seem to give girls lighter punishments?
Now, a little broader:
1: What are most girls in late middle/high school like? Majority are going through boyfriends like clothes or being... well, you get the idea.
2: How many special programs out there are just for guys, compared to "just girls" programs?
3: Why is it little 6 year old boys are constantly screamed at to sit still, when science has proven a 6 year old kid, unless really really smart for his age (and creepy, like me) should be running around outside more than the girls.
4: Men do get raped, but do we ever hear about it?

I agree, to an extent. I desire equality, but many feminists take it to the radical end of the spectrum. Feminists don't have as much to fight for as before, but many haven't noticed.

Mere coindence. Girls just tend to have in most cases, more of a personal creativity? Though it does not hold true in all cases, it does seem a bit unfair that girls are getting choosen over boys. But, the sexism works both ways.

The whole schoolt hnig, except for the punishments is simply for the fact that guys usually don't care.
The punishment is because girls suck up to teachers and they fall for it.

1. Girls generally are the only ones who care or are willing to go into student council. Do you want to be president of student council? Why do you even care is its always been a girl? How, is a negative way, does this even effect you?
2. Personal flare? I dont know what that is. But, girls have more of it, natually. Guys dont go around screaming and laughing and hugging everybody they see. Lots of girls do though. If a guy did that, most people would think he was gay.

You should learn to respect women more.

I agree pretty much with what you're saying. In my opinion these days rather than a feminist movement there should be an "equality" movement; the feminist movement was called for when women had unequal rights but now that women have equal rights men are getting left behind. Don't get me wrong its hardly anything yet but give it time......... Why is it ok for a woman to hit a man but not vice versa?

Okay, first, I went for Vice-President of our school this year, got defeated. I no longer support the current grade president anyways. So stuff the "guys don't do student council" into teh trash can.
Also, I'm also interested in being a Student Council Representative that doesn't vote on the school board if I can get it.

(This happened to two of my classmates) Two grils with same clean record get maybe a detention or two, where at least they don't take a day or more of zeros.

Honestly, if I were ever nicer to a girl than to a guy it's because my biology wanted her. It's just part of being human. So to make up for it, I'm meaner to girls instead of guys nowadays.
If women want ALL the rights of a men, they need to be ready to take ALL the punishments and responsibilities too. But it will never happen. The human race is male dominant. There are plenty of species of animals that are female dominant, but it just so happens that humans aren't.

Please don't try making up statistics and facts right up on the spot. I don't really think there are 1000's more men getting raped then women. There is still sexism against men, don't try to ignore the fact. Just since you don't see men recieving sexist actions and comments doesn't mean it happens less.

Girls tend to be more even-tempered, and seriously how many guys run for things like student council. If 10% of the people running are guys, isn't it fair that only 10% of the elected are guys?

Look at school demographics. What percentage of students expelled or put up for expulsion for weapons and/or drugs are male? Show you anything?

I agree with you that there is sexism on both sides, but seriously, are those the best you can come up with? This happens all the time where a "minority" gets a little more than the opposer. The reality is that I will get more scholarship money than you, but a black, handicapped, lesbian is still going to get more than me. All this sexism and racisim is a big cooperate gimick. Can someone actually tell me a news story where a man was raped and he told all his buddies? I doubt that has ever happened, you know why?
Now, it would not be rape if the man enjoyed the sex and was not forced to do it. He probably wholeheartly agreed then. I'm sure if you were to be raped by a women, that you would not tell all your friends. You'd probably seek help before telling everyone at school, "Hey guys! A girl just raped me and it was great! I think that YOU are sexist infested-jerk
nearly all of the arguments you have put up about girls having more attention or success is because there is a very good reason for it. I do admit that school in school there is a little sexism but nothing to cry about. so what if a girl is better then you just try harder next time and forget about it.
