Is it possible to make a trigger that allows a unit to shoot 1 shot (doesn't have to kill but it still fires) and it subtracts 1 bullet?

perfect timer.. with a realease button? i donno.... but will the triggers be fast enough.. and the unit speed and stuff.....

Fishgolds realistic ammo thing did this. It takes a great amount of triggers though and calculations. Even in his final product though, I was able to glitch all of the things he used so it's very easy to mess up.

yea there is ways and its possible but just like urmom said fishgold made the most close one and it worked but it was acctually really glitchy... and was really hard to make. So even if it is possible its nothing near to working correctly all the time.

Can't you detect the unit firing with EUDC's?
I know you can detect bullet speed, but actually firing the weapon could be different. And with this method you would also need percise locations of the unit's range. Also adding ontop of that, you could move while the enemy is inside your location and then it would still subtract ammo. But thats on a timer based location system... Perhaps you could add a couple more locations to pause that timer when you start moving. And even then, you could be pressing stop and it would subtract a bullet... Very experimental... Heh.

That's an idea. Spawn Scarabs in a Reaver somewhere so that every time the game detects one, your guy fires a shot.
PWNZORED AND SOLVED!
ADDITION: To do this, you need an unally trigger when the game detects one Scarab in the Reaver off in space. Remove the Scarab, unally the enemy, then re-ally the enemy. You have to compensate though that if you build a Scarab while your soldier is in space, you'll waste an ammo counter. Also, you'll need to compensate the fact that you need to shoot before allying again, then compensate cooldown. You may still waste ammunition, but once you learn how to fire well enough, you should be fine.
(Put a timer that detects the Soldier's weapon, so you can prevent missfire.)

i make all zombie game 1 hit kill btw zombie aint that strong.. well depend on what zombie your talking about if its nemisis eh thats a problem
a zombie game where they mass you and you have to manual attack and kill them now thats a new idea.. i might make one someday. for the reason you have to press A and attack them ill make it 1 hit kill. hey perfect ammo system. only bosses like nemisis will be more then 1 hit great idea.

If your playing normal it might not glitch too easily

ROFL! anyway heres my idea open up Arsenal 3 and find a unit with the same cooldown rate as the reaver.
Put the reaver somewhere where you cant see it with another unit that the reaver would attack and have a trigger than when the reaver has 0 scrabs the unit becomes a computer of the same color as you and than it would be allys of the unit you attacking and wouldnt attack again untill the reaver builds another scrab

err...wow u guys have the reload system all up, im using the system in my resident evil 4 map, if u want a reaload system then all u do is,
make a place with ammo (civilians or w/e) and each time that person shoots or a unit dies -1 bullet (civillian) and when u run out of Bullets (civilians) u make it so a burrowed ling keeps getting spawned underneath the shooter, this will interrupt the shooting and make him unable to deal dmg!

You could always use minerals as bullets, and each shot uses one mineral.
