blink.gif oY! so here it is, im sitting in government class: bored. So i think of how i want to go home, and then i think, hm, its about time for me to make a new defense map! But then i think, (defense maps are so boring now-- no new concepts-)

THEN IT HIT ME (i might've said ow i dont remember)

What about, a 4 person ffa defense map? eh? sounds hawt to u i know it does--

but wait, i know ur thinking, 'so what, its still a typical defense......... ur boring me norm go somewhere else!'

there is a new gg idea here.... what if you could lose points -- think im crazy? i know at this point ur sitting there like 'ftw is with this kid-- get to the damn point already!'

Well here it is: there are 3 enemies that spawn to try to make u lose o.O multiple types of enemies will come out, one of which is the medic (so what big deal its a medic) anyway, each time u kill a medic, u lose points! (o no!) so ur thinking, how am i suppose to stop my dudes from attacking a medic confused.gif only 1 of each enemy will produce medics at certain times, and which one will spawn medics will be displayed in the middle next to teh giant countdown timer! so anyway, its first person to a certain amount of points to win, sound hawt?

um.. it might be but i dont think so. the whole concept of this map is very radical and people dont like radical changes.
a while back i had an idea for a defence map you can use it if you want. there will be an attacking force of 2 players and a defending force of 4 players. the defending force will... defend and the attacking force will be given an amount of resources per level. this will be harder and differnt from other defence maps because the attackers are humans.

i dunno if this sounds good to you but it sounded good to me at the time

o.O well the point is that my map is seksi o.O and i dont care what most people think, after all, i made haxor defense hella long ago and most people hated that map but me and a select few that were gg at it loved it.

Or you can have the players directly attack each other as well as the comp....wasn't sure if that was what you meant in your original post anyways.

i think its pretty interesting.. have a start attack/stop attack button... and others way to make someone else slower at killing then you are...

How about take turns. Each player gets a chance to make a humongous fleet of units and he picks which players to divide that army among. If it goes past, you eliminate that player. When not your turn, you have to get ready to defend.

It would work for something where you attack units yourself, like Trigger Happy Defence. But I don't think it would really be worth it in a regular setting.

Y not just have the other monsters attack the medic so you gotta kill them within a certain amount of time or the medic dies and you lose points

Ok, i started this map yesterday, its pretty hawt im not gunna lie--- therefore no one can take this idea happy.gif

so far,

Ideas : 80%
Terrain : 90%
Triggers: 10%

So anyway about these medics, like three different colors of enemies will come outta the spawn, before hand in the middle of the screen, i will somehow signal what color will have the medics, ur job as the defender is to set that color to ally as to avoid attacking o.O hawt? ya i know this will make it so that the 4 players will constantly be on their toes! blink.gif

pinch.gif there will be no turns involved, buy just now i thought of another idea, to make it enjoyable even for those who sux at teh defense maps, ima make it like this:

typically in a defense, when teh units get to the end of teh path, u lose. kthnx? ya HOWEVER, since this map is so hawt, u dont lose when they get there, instead u lose a set amount of points, also ima add rare kinds of enemies that will come by that do like special bonus things o.O

i sence that u may be jealous of my idea.... maybe u wish u were the first one to think up a 4player competition involving a countdown and points. and the special units idea... i dont think u know what i mean by that-- i mean like-- certain units that will like

idea1: reduce points of other players?
idea2: give u extra $ for more defense?
idea3: clear ur field if ur in trouble?
idea4: maybe an evil one to screw u up happy.gif?

(btw person calling this lame, one more remark by u and ima have to put teh 3rd finger to use) Anyway, there is a timer for 25minutes, there are 4 players, all at seperate (and identical) areas that will kill enemies for points so that they have the most when timer = 0. The enemies will be completely random coming outta the 4 spawns from 3 different computer enemies.

Killing different enemies will give u a set amount of points, however this alone is boring im not gunna lie-- so here it is. ALSO in addition there will be teh medics and if u kill them, u lose points. U will constantly need to be on ur toes as a defender/competitor to shift ur alliances to not kill medics (a 100 point bonus will be rewarded for each medic unharmed to reach the end of ur path)

Now as for the rest of the enemies they will be normal and stuff, and if they arrive at the end of ur path, it is a -100 point penalty. but u get points for killing them so its all good. Anyway there will be 4 other enemies that do special things.

-One will clear your area of all enemies to prevent you from getting behind after being overwhelmed by enemies.

-Another will deduct alot of points from the current point leader (note: if you are the point leader this can affect you. making it a life saver, or a life not saver ><)

-Another will give minerals instead of points to help u out with upgrading ur bunkers

-Teh last one will deduct a small amount of points from teh other 3 players in order to help u get ahead of teh game

anyway, ya it will be intense there will also be an exchanging points for hero system to allow for better enemy killing (incorperating stratagies here o.O) you will be able to have up to 5 heroes, and there are 5 very different heroes to choose from, these heroes will be stationary around ur area to help u defend <3
