I need to input a memgraft patch into an mpq file, or otherwise make it work with all the other changes.. How is it done?
I saved it with 'save' and 'save release', have both mgb or something files and .exe memgraft file.
How do i 'input' it?
Copy the patch_rt.mpq file in your starcraft directory and rename it to the custom patch_rt.mpq file name that you have memgraft loading, then open the new mpq with WinMPQ and import the .mgd file that you saved, putting it in the directory custom\
just make sure you don't move the mpq out of starcrafts directory or memgraft wont be able to find it

custom patch_rt.mpq file name that you have memgraft loading
I dont know most of this stuff, which file name? The mpq file name of my mod, the mgb, the exe?
Sorry D:
Im just learning Memgraft and Ice
What I meant by "custom patch_rt.mpq file name that you have memgraft loading" is in the Misc tab under patch_rt.mpq
what you do there is you change the text \patch_rt.mpq to \(mods mpq name here).mpq
then create a copy of patch_rt.mpq in starcrafts directory and rename it to your custom mpq name
then when you save release after making your memgraft patch save the .mgd file as mgpatch.mgd then import it into your modded mpq in starcrafts directory using the custom\ directory
I understood what u meant by that moments before u told me..
Why is the patch_rt.mpq file important?
Im not putting it into my mpq, so what is the point?
The reason the patch_rt mpq is so importaint is cause the way memgraft is set up it dont load the files in the order stardat.mpq->broodat.mpq->patch_rt.mpq->(modded mpq).mpq->map load instead it uses stardat.mpq->broodat.mpq->patch_rt.mpq->map
therefore, if you dont copy and rename the patch_rt.mpq file to the custom name it wont load ANY of the files in it and will cause starcraft to have many errors/crashes cause it wont load any of the updates
