To start, these are done on my little acoustic "uke-guitar", so it's hard to bust out anything hardcore. Most of this is improvisation (and you can tell, because sometimes I pause to think where I want to go). Don't feel the need to listen to all of it unless you want to, just listen to a few.

After maybe a week of fiddling with my guitar I came up with this, and recorded on my friends father's guitar.

[attachmentid=15331]

The first recorded improvisation I did, on my guitar, with my mic, as with the rest of the recordings. September 29, 2005

More improvisation (to show my progress) October 3, 2005

More improvisation. Interesting tune, maybe in context would be appealing.

More improvisation. I had a variation of this, but due to lack of space, and attention span, I'll skip it. October 8, 2005

Improvisation. I like this one, it's catchy =) October 12, 2005

Improvisation. An example of one of the many little things I come up with, and hope to use in the future... November 2nd, 2005

Improvisation. I had a lot of fun messing around with different way to play this, this is the original. 09/11/05

Just playing with chords to be a fool. 09/11/05

If you've ever watched the godfather, you'll appreciate this next tune...

[attachmentid=15345]

It's only the intro, and it's not very impressive of my cheap guitar, but it brings back good memories. I got the tabs for this, so no credit to me for discovering it, it was gun n roses, and it was meant for bass (>>).

PS: I havn't been playing that often, so I may not be up to the level you'd expect me to be. Yes, I know how to do chords (and keep in good rhythm etc). A lot of this would probably sound better if I added drums. All of the material is unedited, except for converting to mp3, which I mention because I believe it's a more difficult way to play (anything sounds better with distortion).

Thanks in advance,

Get an electric guitar, an amp and some heavy metal distortion pedals. Once you've done that crank everything to 10 and at that point, anything sounds awsome. I find alot of your riffs sounds depressing. Go higher up on the fret board and maybe you could make stuff more intricate instead of playing the same string 3 times followed by another string 3 times. If im wrong its because i didnt lisen to all of them.

This is true... but I don't have that kind of money, I mean, I only spent 50 Canadian on my accoustic.

I only did what you're saying once... in the beggining of RND1, maybe I'm not understanding what you said. Please tell me which ones you listened to so I can better understand your suggestion.

ADDITION:
Guys, even if all you have to say is "It sucks" that's still better than just downloading it and leaving me in the dark. I really don't know what T-MaStAA is refering to, so don't be diswayed by him. It hurts me to know that people would rather say "This topic is stupid" in one of the retarded polls here than drop me some feedback. Maybe this is karma come to bite me in ass?

Cheers,

It's ok man. I won't leave you alone here. So I'll show one of my early recordings too.

Sounds pretty good man. If anyone else wants to post something they've done on guitar that's cool, just make sure to tell other posters what you think of their's.

I will when/if I finish the song I'm currently working on. Slow progress so far :/

Tuned my guitar to something new and unique. I think these sound pretty good, and they're only about 10 seconds each. Hopefully I'll get a little more response this time, but whatever.
All today.

Try to think of these in the context that they would be part of a song (with other instruments playing), not the whole thing.

I liked the latest three, the little riffs are interesting. The third starts off sounding like a clone of the second, but it's not.. yeah. I personally have a preference for several guitars being played over each other (as in that various complex pyschodelic music that no one does anymore). The other recordings sound like they were made on a toy guitar, so they're kinda lost on me. The Godfather One isn't bad.

Perhaps you could combine the riffs, create an alternate track, and layer them together (as in that audacity thing I made, but not computerized). I usually just scribble down "abccda" when I'm doing anything musical, and quickly forget exactly what those letters represent. I can't read musical notes either. Still, nice stuff. I'd prefer something long, shifting, and with absolutely no words. You got one down.

Haha, I do too man, but I'm only one man with a tiny acoustic guitar. I plan to come up with a longer song based on that, I just need to think how. Once I get that down I can add rhythm guitar (or lead, depending on how I go) and maybe even drums if I visit my friend's house to record. Thank you for the input, I'm definitly trying to go for that =) I agree though, the new tuning is much more suitable for my particular guitar.
