Yeah, you need to DL the song that you want to be in your map. It has to be a .wav file to be used in sc and it needs to be 8 bit or 16 bit. 16 bit is preferable so that SC can compress the file so it will take up less space. In the campagn editor there is a button on the top like a microphone and click that then click "import" and find your song.

You can get fruity loops studios. It comes with many demos that I have used in many of my maps.(most recent cast spell bound) You can convert the songs into wavs too.

Be sure to not import too many music files into your map or the dl is looooooong. Also, try to get the lowest size you can. I personally, try to find a good balance between size and quality.

(Try Limewire)

Then, Download The [Mp3 >> Wav] Converter In The DLDB

Then, Open Up The Wav With Windows Sound Recorder

(Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Sound Recorder)

Then, Compress It To 16 Bit, (3rd Down ON The List)

Save It

Open In Editor

Pwned!

I'm guessing it detects when you kill something it plays the sound.

You could dl some music in the dldb (i submitted some cool music ^_^)but ares, limewire, WinMX, then convert with mp3 --> wav. but i'd prefer you could goto vg music n get some cool music. Midi --> Wav programs are expensive thought =/

You could just play it on your computer and use Audacity to record from the soundcard output.

Don't use 8-bit sounds!
Don't convert them in sound recorder, because you will get horrible quality!
Use audacity to convert! Its free BTW...

Sound recorder sucks! Since it is one of the starting off programs for a computer it is not meant to do big projects of compressing sounds into something of the standards that you need. I also have a sound converter that can make sounds go from MP3,MP4, Wav, midi and everything else inbetween to any other type of Sound file. I will try to find the link because I think that it would useful to some people.

It's Switch and it's already in the DLDB.
