Well I was screwing around with various sprite settings and properties in starforge, when I noticed that unit sprites' health never changed from SC defaults. For instance, I set marine health to 0, so normally the marine's life would show 0/1 and the marine would be unkillable. However, the sprite marine had 40/40 hp, as marines normally do. Intrigued, I attacked it, the marine's health changed, now it read 30/30 (I was using a ghost to attack) I kept this up until the marine died, which took 3 more shots, as it usually would. This is a slightly odd discovery, with a few uses, possibly for RPGs or the like. That isn't all I found though, I also discovered that if dragoon sheilds are set to -1 (negative sheilds are old, this isn't), and a unit sprite of a dragoon placed, the dragoon created will have unreadable health, and die approximatly when a regular dragoon would, although throughout the wireframe was changing colors, as though the dragoon's health was above it's maxiumum. I retried the dragoon, with 0 sheilds and 0 life, it worked the same as the marine did. This technique hasn't worked so far for zerg units in the same way, the zergling sprite I placed kept the special properties.
In a similar vein, if a unit's health is set to be below its default, but not 0, sprites made of that unit will have healths equal to their defualts, allowing for units with health far above their limits.
Attached is the map I was doing all of this on, look to the right for the bizzare unit sprites. Ignore the random beacons, they were from testing something entirely differnt.

Yeah, it's very old news that chaging a units HP then placing the unit sprite makes it "[user input HP]/[default]".

Oh, I'd never heard of it before, sorry to have posted such old stuff.
And don't you mean the sprites health will be "[currenthealth]/[currenthealth]" (That only occurs if hp is 0 in properties)
